As I said before I hold Boomer in the highest esteem and respect even if there may be any perception different to that. And that won't change just because of one difference of opinion on one specific subject . RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - Tumble_Drier - 17-12-2023 12:10 It's utterly bizarre to take any questions or objections posted in this thread as some kind of personal attack but whatever. As for anyone who votes for me in the awards, their time is appreciated but I've never held a gun to anyone's head as far as I can recall, therefore I point them in the direction of my forum name which has some suitable advice underneath. RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - Charlemagne - 17-12-2023 12:14 When I floated the trial for a different way to nominate I didn't expect feeling to be so intense. As I mentioned before, It's drained me mentally but I plan to run this trial till it conclusions. I will be available for Lovebabes if he needs any assistance for his section. But there won't be a follow up of this type of nomination from me. If after completion the trail turns out to be sucessful then I won't be running it next year. And I'm also withdrawing from running the Members Hall of Fame. RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - Kingsmind - 17-12-2023 17:02 I ain't a fan of this new award where only like 5 people or how ever many it is is allowed to vote in this new award. I thought voting on the forum was for free that was how it was supposed to be , instead of that these members are being treated like members of the royal family where no one else is allowed to do anything. Oh and by the way if i ever win an award that allows me to vote i decline from entering this new award because i don't want to do something that nearly all the forum can't do. RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - eyres42 - 17-12-2023 19:10 Not against the idea of a panel selecting a shortlist, probably would have been best to ask them if they wanted to be involved first though... The criteria for nomination seems to change every year, personally I would simplify it, anyone with a demonstrable length of service can be nominated and induct two night girls and one daytime per year. Also for the 'top award' it always seems very rushed, maybe a idea to say all the other awards are done in November and then the HOF can stand alone in December? Also think it seems RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - lovebabes56 - 17-12-2023 20:37 Can I just say I will be shortly making notes of my section's nominations from you all, and thanking shortly! sorry if i've been a bit quiet on that front - busy with work and was out late lsst night for works Xmas dinner - then working today! As far as the comments made I will say this :- I was very surprised to see the reaction and I do feel that the best thing is to see how the trial works first, then comment and we will take them on board in future, but if anything all members' views on things like this should be respected, and hope we can all take a 24 hour breather, collect our thoughts and then just see how things work out. If we feel that changes need to be made then after this years comp is over we may look at that part of it again. I do hope you will all continue to contribute to my section of the competition as usual. This award is one of the official forum awards. Of the other two, The UK Babe Channels Babe of the Year takes up to the end of October and the Forum Awards take the 1st two full weeks in December. And it seems appropriate that it should be the last award to finish at the end of the year. Can I also say that we welcome feedback on the HOF's. But we do need to see how the awards pan out at the end of the contest before coming to a conclusion. RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - The Silent Majority - 17-12-2023 22:53 Ok, I started at the beginning of last years discussion to see where this has come from, and it seems it was me that suggested the committee approach However not much more was said about it at the time and I do feel there was a discussion to be had prior to this years comp. Rather than just being presented with a fait accompli out of the blue. I think this may have been what sparked some of the resentment, as much as the actual mechanism of the comp. Once I've read through this years shitstorm I'll comment some more. I totally disagree with that , why should all the other awards some with more heritage than it be moved , most other awards on based on the year so need to be in December, If anything it would be easier to move this award to say the summer when not a lots going on at the shows as all the girls are on their hols as it's not affected by what girls are doing at the moment , Also i do not see why you would want to limit the number of places this has consistently stopped girls who should be in the HOF due to there importance to the shows from getting in , which has lead us to the new vote as a way of trying to address this issue, what we should be doing is expanding the HOF to maybe 8-10 inductees a year maybe put them into bracket of when they worked on the shows so just because a girl was last on TV 15 years ago would not lessen her chances RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread - winsaw - 18-12-2023 00:10 (17-12-2023 22:53 )The Silent Majority Wrote: Ok, I started at the beginning of last years discussion to see where this has come from, and it seems it was me that suggested the committee approach I have also suggested a committee in the past as think it's a good idea, I saw it more of a number of long standing forum members coming up with a short list of say 20 names from the first 5 years of the shows that could be voted on with maybe 4 names going into the HOF, On the vote at the moment I do agree that one of the issues is the shock it's caused as unexpected, also it causes a us and them type situation were it feels like some forum members are worth more than others most of us just being the plebs who get told what we should like lol, it just feels very in British as we have for so long fight for everyone to be equal in voting and not just those at the top having the power, think this is definitely one of the things that people find they don't like about this year's system |
