If you look at the overhead views of the earlier crash who was at the heart of it? Yep Sagan. I like the guy and I'm disappointed he's been excluded but look at his elbow in the Cavendish crash and he was definitely at fault. It wasn't just Cavendish who suffered either. Ben Swift was brought down and John Degenkolb.

Apparently Sagan was confronted by another rider about his antics not just with these crashes but other incidents. as they'd had enough of it and wanted words. Correct to be disqualified

As for Mark Cavendish, he's now back home with his family beginning his recovery. He's posted a couple of vids on his Instagram giving his side of things

Mark, Peta & the kids are getting some really vile comments on Twitter. Totally unacceptable.

For me Sagan put his elbow out to steady himself after contact with Cavendish was already made.

Apparently they are judging him on the consequences of the crash rather than the incident that caused the crash

would you say there was contact or it was minimal?

Froome is a beast on the mountains

Sad about G thomas being out with a suspected broken collar bone after a crash

It was an awful crash and to then career across the road and be hit by Martin was horrible. Last I saw they were still treating Porte by the side of the road

Update: They've just taken him by stretcher into an ambulance

dan martin must be made from irish granite! he hit that rock face flat out and almost head on!
