Interesting trade,Donovan McNabb going from the Eagles to The Redskins for a second round pick this year and a conditional third round pick next year.
Got to be honest i was hoping he would be traded to The Raiders.
Very surprised he was traded to a divisional rival,if he stays healthy it's an instant upgrade for The Redskins,with Willie Parker and Larry Johnson also strengthening the backfield in a traditionally run productive Shanahan offence,interesting times in Washington.

A very interesting move! I thought the Eagles would stick with McNabb for anoter year while grooming Kolb and looking to get something for Vick if they could. If they were going to trade McNabb then to an AFC team like the Raiders or the Bills or Cleveland but not to the Redskins. The fans in Philadelphia are notoriously tough but I'd have thought that there will be quite a lot of them questioning the wisdom of the trade to a divisional rival. I think McNabb has got at least another 2 or 3 good years in him and he'll give the Redskins a boost.

Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisbeger is getting a 6 game suspension for the ALLEGED rape of a 20yo student, EVEN though the DA has decided NOT to charge him with anything.

I'm a huge Steelers fan and Ben Roethlisberger is the face of the franchise so while I'm not happy at a 6 game suspension I suspect that Commissioner Goodell has decided to lay down the law on player conduct. Ben and the Steelers will almost certainly have the good grace/common sense to accept, learn from it and move on. The Steelers have signed Byron Leftwich as cover anticipating the need to replace Big Ben and I'm still pretty confident about the forthcoming season. Let's see how the draft goes...
