Brilliant race today, was sat on the edge of my seat towards the end, hope the rest of the season can be as good Smile

A 1-2 for Mercedes today must have put them at the top of the constructors championship by a considerable margin.

What a classic race. Everyone drove really well and some epic drives, ( Oh except Crashdernardo ).
Good to see Lewis driving so well again.

Been avoiding reading this thread until I saw the replay on BBC2. Some cracking close racing at the front. Enjoyable watch.
And Vettel being told to let his team mate go past him.

All these fuel use percentage arrows and power battery usage graphics nonsense is just a clutter on the screen I don't care about. Just let them race. It's meant to be the pinnacle of four-wheel motorsport, not an ad for wind turbines.

I liked the radio chatter after the Guttierez barrel-roll - "woah, where did that come from?"

Just got to echo what everyone has already said, that was a great race to watch. Had a bit of everything and I always think the cars look really cool under the lights. Got to say that I like the new engine note, it lets you hear tire chirps and all that good stuff Smile

RE: Formula 1 - jozefbloggz - 08-04-2014 17:24

fantastic race, best ive seen in yonks, what a performance from lewis hamilton to hold off from team mate nico rosberg to record a brilliant win.
im now off to prepare a very large piece of humble pie for stating previously that i thought lewis was wrong to leave mclaren and go to mercedes TongueTongueTongue

Red Bull have had their appeal against Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix Rejected this morning and the Australian GP Result will stand

RE: Formula 1 - manic street pugilist - 15-04-2014 12:17

I think the decision to dismiss the appeal's correct, because whether the fuel sensors are accurate or not Red Bull need to follow what they say as all the other teams have done.

Vettel's going to get into a right strop if his team don't stop telling him to get out of the way of his faster team-mate.
Did you hear him today :
"Ricardo is on a different strategy and needs to get past you."
"Tough luck!"
