RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - HannahsPet - 07-08-2024 18:44 Just realised last time we won the mens 400 meters was Eric Liddel in the 1924 Olympics in Paris featured in Charriots of Fire RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - Snooks - 07-08-2024 19:08 Matthew Hudson-Smith. 400m final coming up shortly. Good luck young Sir. I and all of us in Wolverhampton stand with you whatever happens. Give it all you've got. RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - Snooks - 07-08-2024 19:23 Great effort. PB and a SILVER. You did Wolverhampton proud. RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - Regenerated - 07-08-2024 19:28 Absolutely, I don't think there was anything else he could have done there. Quincy Hall had a tremendous last 100 metres and Matt can't be too disappointed with a personal best. Excellent pace from all of the finalists - one of the fastest men's 400 metre finals I've seen in a while. RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - Snooks - 07-08-2024 19:37 The poor lad is in bits. I feel bad for him but he emptied the tank. All he had he gave. In time he will see cause for pride. He smashed his PB by nearly 3 tenths of a second and ran one of the fastest 400m times in history. I am very proud of him. RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - Charlemagne - 07-08-2024 19:42 It's odd that the American came from well back, and finished well because he had more stamina. And last night in the Men's 1500 the American also came from wellback and won because he had more stamina. If it happens again questions need asking. RE: Paris Olympiad 2024 - lovebabes56 - 07-08-2024 19:48 I think questions would need to be asked if it was to happen again but if they are testing athletes thats when we would know if anything is going on that shouldn't be.
