That is the highest their survey has ever shown and is around 3.27m people infected. Let's just be a bit cautious about heralding a victory as some on here seem keen to do. With that much infection the chances of another variant emerging are significantly higher. Thankfully hospitalisations and deaths are not as bad as they were 12 months ago BUT those suffering the most are the unvaccinated and there are a lot of those who have had no vaccine or not yet had the booster.
