I've always supported you ![]() RE: Andy Murray - circles_o_o_o - 05-11-2016 17:30 If he's Scottish, then shouldn't he be "World number Yin" RE: Andy Murray - Sm© - 05-11-2016 18:28 The whole being "British" when they can't call them English, cause reasons ( being from Scotland) really pisses me off... Glasgow Celtic, First British team to win the European Cup... Andy Murray, first British player to get ranked No1... Timmy was crap, Greg was Canadian Andy is Scottish, dont make him British by default... RE: Andy Murray - lovebabes56 - 05-11-2016 18:35 I agree but what happened when he moans about Britain or Scotland being beaten? RE: Andy Murray - Snooks - 06-11-2016 00:52 I couldn't really care less whether he is designated as Scottish, English, British or whatever. I am just chuffed to bits for him. He has worked so damned hard. The stresses and strains he voluntarily puts himself through to achieve what he does are phenomenal. He has competed in one of the toughest ever eras of mens tennis and reached the summit. His consistency in 2016 has been remarkable. Australian Open - Runner Up French Open - Runner Up Wimbledon - Champion Rio 2016 - Gold medallist Rome Masters - Champion Queens - Champion China Open - Champion Shanghai Masters - Champion Erste Bank Open - Champion Paris Masters - Champion (edited) ATP World Tour Finals - ??? Amazing. RE: Andy Murray - lovebabes56 - 06-11-2016 05:40 so I would assume that if Djokovic doesn't play in ATP finals if he pulls out with injury but wins in Australia in the New year - would he regain No. 1 ranking? RE: Andy Murray - Snooks - 06-11-2016 13:18 As I understand the ranking points system the answer is........it depends on what Murray does both in London and Melbourne. Djokovic is defending points won in both tournaments so is under pressure to hold on to both trophies. Murray needs to make the final of the Aussie Open 2017 to avoid losing ranking points from the 2016 tournament It's all based on tournament performance relative to the previous year. RE: Andy Murray - dundeered - 06-11-2016 13:55 Here is the explanation of how the ATP ranking system works from the ATP website. http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/rankings/rankings-faq RE: Andy Murray - Snooks - 06-11-2016 17:32 Paris Masters champion 2016...... Andy Murray. A 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 win over John Isner. His fourth tournament win in a row. Outstanding. |
