RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 15-09-2012 22:40 yeah was very nice to see him in the episode tonight. another good solid episode tonight, liked the dr who crossed with a western theme RE: Dr Who - bigguy01 - 15-09-2012 22:55 it was like terminator, the borg (star trek), cowboys and aliens. the beginning of the end of the amy and rory pond in ep4 and 5. RE: Dr Who - southsidestu - 16-09-2012 02:00 This season as been really good, its not been overally complex and we haven't been torchered with the presence of River Song, though i think we will get that "pleasure" It has been straight forward sci-fi adventure and i love it RE: Dr Who - *Kal-El* - 16-09-2012 03:35 RE: Dr Who - biggles - 16-09-2012 05:49 I think last nights episode owes a debt to the 11th doctor book Peacemaker, very similar themes with Alien weapon technology and also the Doctor's role. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peacemaker_(Doctor_Who) Well worth reading an at the time I thought it would make a good episode. RE: Dr Who - bytor - 16-09-2012 07:46 This current series has been getting better with each episode. I had my doubts as I have to admit I felt the series before was trying too hard, with overly complex plots that failed to deliver. The underlying theme with River in it was annoying and tedious. Dr Who has always been at its best when its the Doctor v the aliens/bad guys trying to take over/destroy the universe. RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 16-09-2012 08:51 the next 2 episodes will be good as its the departure of the ponds RE: Dr Who - *Kal-El* - 16-09-2012 18:02 RE: Dr Who - Rammyrascal - 22-09-2012 19:57 really enjoyed the episode tonight, sets things up nicely for the ponds final episode next week looking to be a really good and emotional episode RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 22-09-2012 20:42 I liked it tonight more than last week, though it was not without its faults. Rory's Dad was a joy once again, and Jemma Redgrave fitted in a treat. |
