I don't know about getting jobs in shoe shops, but a few of them visit them, especially Clark's. My wife used to work there and she tells me that 'cos of Clark's free measurement policy some blokes would come in once every couple of weeks for new shoes, just to have a pretty young woman mess around near their feet.
