RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 30-01-2013 21:12 All change at Dundee United after what has been a dramatic last couple of weeks starting with Peter Houston announcing that he would be standing down as manager at the end of the season after deciding to knock back a new deal. Monday - Peter Houston leaves Dundee United by mutual consent. Wednesday - Jackie McNamara takes over as Boss. I have very mixed feelings on the former Dunfermline and Celtic player. Sure he's done a great job at Partick Thistle but as yet is very much untested and I have to be brutally honest here. It's a massive gamble which I'm just hoping turns out to be a successful appointment and not a disaster. New era at Dundee United. RE: Scottish Football - Sm© - 30-01-2013 21:32 ^^^ And Simon Donnelly is Jackie Macs wingman Hope the new dream team pump Sevco Scotland Ltd Aka "The rangers" at the weekend RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 30-01-2013 21:55 I'm hoping so too as I have my ticket which was only £15. But on the subject of playing Rangers and them now being a Third Division team. Yes they may be that but only on paper but the reality of the situation getting away from the politics of it it all is Rangers are in a false position and I expect Dundee United to treat them with nothing less than the fullest of respect. Underestimate Rangers and it'll be us that will be leaving with our tails behind our legs. Rangers meanwhile will be out for revenge. I don't know why they have used the name of Dundee United and blamed them for all their ill's and accused our chairman of being the man that spearheaded the relegation of them by kicking them out of the SPL when the reality of this situation is that the vote was unanimous. It was their Chairman and the one that went before him that fucked up their club. Nobody else. It was the SFA clubs and NOT the SPL clubs that put Rangers in the 3rd Division. Their current chairman Charles Green is also a prize idiot. Telling the fans to boycott Tannadice, not to mention the fact he kept referring to our team as Dundee. Fact - Mr Green. We have 2 teams in Dundee. One is called Dundee United and plays at Tannadice and the other one is called Dundee and plays across the road at Dens Park. Yes I hope we are wary of Rangers but on the other hand I hope we put 6 or 7 goals past the bastards to show them they've got a long way to go before they reach our level. Outside the ground it's been rumoured that Rangers are going to bring a large support up to Tannadice but they will be taking the choice to stand outside the ground and looking for potential trouble. Cue the police who might have something of Green Street proportions to deal with as the Huns are looking for a scrap with the Arabs. Mind you we'll have an army of 10,000 so we'll defeat them on the pitch and outside the ground later on if needs must RE: Scottish Football - munch1917 - 02-02-2013 14:52 ^^^ I think it's safe to say you're team did you proud SB, 3-0 and Rangers finish with 9 men, hilarious! I guess Rangers have got too used to sweeping aside the little teams and they've forgotten how to play the big boys Great result for Dundee Utd and the start of the new managers campaign. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 02-02-2013 18:57 Well done the Tannadice lads RE: Scottish Football - Sm© - 03-02-2013 14:13 http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/snoop-dogg-asks-celtic-to-let-him-1572312 RE: Scottish Football - HannahsPet - 03-02-2013 14:23 Total Proof Smoking the Green Makes u mental RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 03-02-2013 19:20 Well I had a great day out at Tannadice yesterday. Firstly my favourite chants from that game went as follows "You're no Ranger's anymore" "Are you Ranger's in disguise" "Go home you hun's" So that's all the pleasantrie's out of the way so onto the game From the word go Dundee United played with style and firmly put the Rangers to the sword. Only 15 second's had gone by and man of the match Johnny Russell had put the arabs ahead. Ranger's have got a long way before they reach our level that's for sure. We rumbled and humilated them from the off. We managed to piss them off so much they even managed to get 2 of their men sent off when we were literally ripping the piss out of them by passing the ball around the field like we were Barcelona at one point. The hun's responce to this was 2 heliish late tackles on our men as they just couldn't get the ball off of our vastly superier team. All in all a great day out and not the for the first time we have rumbled the ger's. We put them to the sword when they were in the same league as us and we did likewise yesterday. They haven't beaten us in the Scottish Cup since 1989. Yes it's that's long. I was only 11 at the time and the Berlin Wall was still standing My only regret from the game was that we didn't score more against them haven taken our foot off the gas in the second half. Final score at Tannadice. Dundee United 3 Rangers 0 Todays Scottish Cup draw went as follows: Hamilton v Falkirk Dundee v Dundee United Kilmarnock v Hibernian St Mirren v Celtic RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 16-02-2013 20:58 East Stirlingshire managed a nice away win today (you never know what you're gonna get) Less said about Dundee Utd, the better, I guess... |
