Not a bad tribute to someone who found fame a challenge, told mostly by her daughter.

SA are already plugging a new prog on the "Blitz Kids" in case those who are so interested haven't already seen the story told on Five and BBC4 enough times recently.

BBC4 - 10pm - TWO HOURS - Crock of Gold, about Shane MacGowan. You'd think it was St Patrick's Day (nearly).

Not the most cheerful viewing, found it really sad. His life has pretty much been a car crash from start to finish. First time I've seen this doc, think it was released last year. but not totally up to date with the tribute concert shown at the end, which was his 60th birthday. He's just turned 63 now & has been in hospital recently. A miracle he's still alive, but he's not exactly living that much.

Gary bloody Kemp. Rusty Egan, though, still level-headed after all these years, the brains behind the club night in question.

It being Elton John's birthday, BBC4 have several repeats to mark the occasion (and Sky Arts are repeating their Classic Albums on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road). I do love the Classic Albums series, though I do wonder at the brainwashing element when I've gone on to buy several of the albums featured, including this one.
