RE: International News Stories - Tumble_Drier - 17-09-2024 17:56 ^Mission:Impossible level shit No doubt Mossad have managed to get into Hezbollah's supply chain and plant explosives in the pagers and / or batteries. RE: International News Stories - 4waydiablo - 18-09-2024 12:38 James Bond had an exploding Parker pen in the film GoldenEye. MythBusters demonstrated that the idea was viable and actually worked pretty well. Ah but good old (or young) Q did away with that in Skyfall....and then issued Bond with an exploding watch in Spectre. Strange people these new age Quartermasters. Can't stick with a bloody decision RE: International News Stories - HannahsPet - 20-09-2024 22:26 lets hope that it was explosive implanted in the pagers and devices because if a state actor or terroist group can turn pagers into mini bombs then could be a serious threat Saw somewhere that the NHS could have about about 130,000 pagers in operation and god knows how many other places have them https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/who-still-uses-pagers-anyway-2024-09-18/#:~:text=The%20UK's%20NHS%20was%20using,when%20they%20are%20on%20call. RE: International News Stories - southsidestu - 29-09-2024 12:25 WSJ: Hezbollah misjudged Israel's weakness & Iran's might RE: International News Stories - Charlemagne - 10-10-2024 17:35 The EU's automated registry for short-stay travellers that was expected to come into force on 10th November. Well it's not, it's been delayed, again.... So it's still going to be the stamped passports. RE: International News Stories - lovebabes56 - 15-10-2024 06:12 I thought the Space X thing was incredible to watch what a game changer that is for space travel, how the hell was it acheived? It is probably a good thing too when you consider what happens to boosters in the atmosphere once separation takes place (I think most burn up & damage the lower atmosphere when re -entering, but I can't be sure) & how expensive they are to make - so anything to lessen the damage done to the lower atmosphere & costs of designing rockets has to be a good thing too. I think it also changes how we design rockets for future travel too. |
