RE: UFC - mitchell - 16-09-2010 11:57 The exceptional Mitchell is here with another post event run down. A bad night for Ross, it was goin well till then. It looked like his game plan was to stay busy with jabs, combos & a few leg kicks & try for the decision win knowing Miller had a good reach & sub game, you'd think being a top striker with good movement he wouldn't get caught stepping straight back rather that sidestepping, still early days with more to come. A great win for Cole Miller though i think he's a top fighter & i like what he said to Joe about the wrestlers & BBJ fighter only using those skills.. MMA boys MMA!!! Marquardt v Palhares was a little strange, it started slow then Palhares got things goin with a shoot but that was a little silly to do that, having said that top marks to him for accepting he fucked up & not bitching, when he improves his striking he'll be a big force. Charles Oliveira i stand corrected, you sir are gonna be a top fighter. 20 years old.. 20 wow, & not just a BBJ fighter but good on his feet as well. 14-0 6 KO's & 7 subs this kid is one to watch.. Literally!!! Brock-tober, they must of thought long & hard about that one Yo HEX!T chill ya beans with watchin TUF on the net, i'm watchin it on Sky Sports on Tuesday, NO SPOILERS thank you please RE: UFC - groundnpound - 16-09-2010 23:40 Paul Daley has signed up with Strikeforce lads.Hopefully he rocks it and gives Dana no choice but to bring him back to the UFC RE: UFC - mitchell - 17-09-2010 00:06 UFC Fan Expo London Earls Court Exhibition Centre on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. The names released today are: Ultimate Fighter season 9 finalist Andre Winner, lightweight contender Cole Miller, UFC Middleweight Title challenger Demian Maia, Duane Ludwig, Efrain Escudero, No1 lightweight contender Gray Maynard, Johny Hendricks, Welterweight Title challenger Jon Fitch, Light heavyweight sensation Jon Jones, Top heavyweight contender Junior Dos Santos, the ever-popular Marcus Davis, England’s own Nick Osipczak and Paul Kelly, former middleweight champion and light heavyweight contender Rich Franklin, TUF 9 champion Ross Pearson, heavyweight cult favourite Roy Nelson, elite light heavyweight Ryan Bader, former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk, heavyweight prospect Stefan Struve, original ‘Ultimate Fighter’ finalist Stephan Bonnar, England’s own Terry Etim, welterweight title challenger Thiago Alves and former PRIDE FC Champions and MMA icon Wanderlei Silva. “The big guns are coming to London,” said UFC UK Division President Marshall Zelaznik. “We’ve listened to our British and European fans, and brought some of their favourite fighters over to meet them at the Expo. On Facebook and social media, a lot of fans were clamoring for the chance to meet guys like Wanderlei Silva, Roy Nelson, Rich Franklin, Jon Jones and the other stars on this list. We’re very happy to work with our partners Reed to make this happen – and there are more announcements to come regarding the Expo. It is going to be a fantastic two-day event.” The first-ever UFC Fan Expo London is expected to attract all of the leading MMA vendors covering thousands square meters of space. In addition to training seminars and autograph and Q&A sessions with the world’s best fighters, the UFC Fan ExpoT London 2010 will feature a variety of offerings such as apparel, electronic gaming, food & beverages, fight gear, fitness equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, lifestyle products and much more. Thats a good move for Daley, Strikeforce is a decent promotion in the US, their welterweight division isn't the best so if probably when Nick Diaz retains his belt in October i think he may face Daley in his next fight some time in December/January. Whether Daley or Diaz form that matter can make it back to the UFC i'm not sure, i also think Daley needs to round his game a little. RE: UFC - groundnpound - 18-09-2010 22:33 Just saw that Matt Hughes will Fight BJ Penn at UFC 123 in Detroit on 20th Nov. This should be the decider after Penn beat Hughes in Round 1 back in 04. Hughes won the rematch in 06 by ko in the 3rd. So im kinda looking forward to this one Im fed up seeing Penn fight Edgar and losing lol hopefully we'll get a proper fight on the same card as Rampage vs Machida RE: UFC - mitchell - 19-09-2010 00:20 I don't really understand this one, after 3 successive wins i thought Hughes maybe talked about with regards to a match with the winner of GSP V Koscheck. Fighting BJ is a step back, i don't care for Hughes either way but i thought he had his career back on track & aiming for the top again, if he wins then he'll probably get a title shot but i don't see the appeal in this fight. Hughes wins he's beat a BJ that's already fallen from grace & if BJ wins then what weight division does he stay in, start from scratch in the welterweight or try again... again to beat Edgar, either way who ever loses has a long way to climb. RE: UFC - TDK2008 - 19-09-2010 16:08 Chael Sonnen Fails UFC 117 Drug Test Quote:CSAC: Sonnen Positive for PEDs at UFC 117 Fuck. I hoped my first post in this thread wouldn't be on the subject of drugs... RE: UFC - HEX!T - 19-09-2010 19:54 i hope its just a miss diagnosis. it was 1 of the better fights of that night. and yeah!, a real shame if true. RE: UFC - mitchell - 19-09-2010 20:27 This will be interesting to hear Sonnen's response to this as he's a pretty good talker. Considering he talked all that shit before the fight it would be one hell of a fuck up to take a drug of any kind knowing he was gonna be tested, he obviously thought he was gonna win but how did he expect to get away with the drug test, that is if he actually took any??? RE: UFC - groundnpound - 19-09-2010 22:59 Welcome to the UFC thread TDK!Gr8 to have u here That's quite a 1st post!SCANDAL! Lets hope it's not true and it all gets ironed out. Thought the Sonnen/Silva fight was brilliant and Chael done himself proud so hope he hasn't wasted it! Can't believe he would be so stupid after the build up he gave the fight??
