South Africa fought back with the ball on day 2 as the 4 wicket partnership ended on 233 when Smith was dismissed for 100.Marsh went on to score 148 as the last 6 wickets fell for 66 with Mitchell Johnson scoring 33,he then had Australia in trouble taking the first 3 wicket with a hostile opening burst. This puts into perspective England's woes,as this was not a fast track & South African's have been brought up on a diet of quick bowling but struggled to cope.Only A B de Villiers with 52 not out stands in their way of making a substantial 1st innings lead.

Australia 397 all out

South Africa 140-6
