Didn't want Curbs or Warnock and don't want Bruce, Keane or Clark or Benitez either. The problem is I think all the managers who would do the best job are at other clubs and I doubt Wolves will want to pay compensation. Its a typical Molineux debacle .
Edit: All that being said I now find that Brighton manager Gus Poyet and Reading manager Brian McDermott have shot up the bookies favourites list for the job . Hmmmm, very intriguing

snookered147 - I'd be surprised if either went for the job to be honest. Gus Poyet is having a brilliant season at Brighton and would take a huge offer for him to leave IMO.
Same has to be said for McDermott as well, having a great season and has the backing from upstairs, well thought of by players and fans.
My opinion mind, but I think Curb's would of been the best man for the job. I wouldn't of thought a foreign manager would come in and I don't rate Steve Bruce.

It seems McDermott has spoken to Wolves and is due to meet with the new Reading owners today, they are keen to keep him at the club and we love the guy, hopefully he will stay as we are having a fantastic run at the moment and I feel we have a great chance of an automatic promotion spot, if he does go I wish him all the best and he will do a fine job at Wolves but from my point of view it just seems the wrong time to leave.

What about Paul Ince for the Wolves job?

SkyBet and PaddyPower are both offering 33/1 on Ince. In the opinion of the bookies, there are only 4 real contenders for the Wolves job - Bruce, McDermott, Poyet and Clark.

Ah don't you just love the manager merry-go-round!

I had a weird dream last night that we end up with Stan Collymore as manager

i wonder if anyone has handed in Alex McLeish's CV since he like the west midlands area after managering brimingham city and aston villa to either relegation or near relegation should be a perfect for wolves are always near the relegation zone.

Brian McDermott signs a new 3 year contract with Reading

I don't blame McDermott for staying at Reading or Warnock for going to Leeds or Curbishley for turning us down. The Wolves job is a poisoned chalice anyway and that so many people seem to be turning the job down speaks volumes. In a strange sort of way I am finding this whole episode to be quite amusing. Morgan made a mess and now he is struggling to find someone who wants to clean it up on his terms. Poetic justice . I am heartily sick at the way the club has been run since the end of last season.
