Losing Cook just before the end was a real blow, had he still been there tomorrow morning there was a chance England might of held out until lunch and waited for the predicted bad weather to come to their rescue, but i suspect they will be blown away in the first hour.

In regard to saving the test match, we have three hopes.
1 no hope
2 stanstead Lee hope
3 Bob Hope

Teams just can't be arsed to try and battle it out force a draw these days. If the other team get a big innings lead than just forget it seems to be their attitude.
It seems that gone are the days when you desperately try and hang in there protecting your wicket.

On reflection I guess it has been a good series for excitement and fine performances....

Never seen so many one sided matches won by both teams in one series in my life. Yet the score was only 3-2.
In terms of runs and averages the Aussies thumped us yet we went home with the spoils. I have never seen such a close 5 match series with not a single drawn match either.
It's all very bizarre. The only thing that was not unusual about it was the odd England batting collapse. Knew they would not let us down on that score.
