Microlights have a giant wing above it and steered by a bar, Little Nellie had rotors above and at the back like a minature helicopter. Ah okay, well a lot of this Bond stuff is from memory so if I was wrong then I once again stand corrected, but its been sometime since I've seen that (and I've got them all on DVD) I wasn't ever talking about the bloody microlite/autogyro..... We're talking about the folding/dismantled jetski in The Spy Who Loved Me. Some old duffer needs to get some sleep.... JB asks the submarine captain for the bag that Q sent over for him, this big black zippered bag then being dropped off in next scene. JB then opens the bag & reveals the steering arm for the jetski, then the base; next scene has him zipping across the sea towards the marine observatory...? Little Nellie was in a different movie, as well as being a microlite, as i recall. I think you will find it was you that called it a microlite and your recollection was wrong, whereas I was merely correcting you as to what Little Nellie was-an autogyro...having now checked you are quite correct about the jet ski...less of the old if you please, or a spank might ensue. Even experts can be wrong RE: Fascinating Facts and Trivia - GMach1 - 07-12-2018 11:39 We all know the phrase that Michael Caine is known for saying "not a lot of people know that!" but like all things he didn't actually say that. The comedy actor Peter Sellers had an answerphone and recorded himself on it saying that phrase and probably used it why he did his voices, and later it was wrongly attribute to Sir Michael...now not a lot of people knew that, but you do now! The famous scene where Michael says " you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" in the original The Italian Job film went a little awry because the special effects man put a bit too much explosive in the van. Apparently residents around the area it was filmed weren't happy about the excessive noise. The ending of The Italian Job was supposed to show how Charlie Croker and his gang get out of their predicament of hanging off the edge of a cliff-a helicopter was to come in, hook the back of the bus and then Willie would drive forward slowly. The gold would have been allowed to fall out the back and then were there to be a sequel it would have the lads trying to steal it back from the Mafia. Many theories were come up with by fans as to how they might get off the cliff-one was to drain the bus of fuel slowly making it lighter and the it would be enough to get horizontal and drive slowly forward. They should have been far less relaxed as it turns out that the ‘snow’ was actually asbestos based fake snowflakes!!
