I can't believe that all you scousers are taking cheap digs at one another. Especially when the two Manchester clubs are at the top of the table.

Both your clubs are great clubs but are under performing this year.
You should be looking to see where improvements can be made so that your both 1 & 2 in the league.

RE: Liverpool FC - steven6 - 13-01-2011 15:04

Liverpool fans would probably say im crazy but sell Gerrard, look at what Arsenal did with patrick viera and Henry and what Man Utd did with Beckham and Van Nistlerooy, players that are past they're best and cash in and rebuild and get Danny Wilson and Jonjo Shelvey in the team

when we beat liverpool sunday they can enjoy the relegation fight they will be dragged into.

everton 4 life.

king kenny is a big mistake as lindor said football has passed him by

RE: Liverpool FC - lindor - 13-01-2011 15:46

Yes, I appreciate that Dalglish's post-Hillsborough experiences took their toll on him; he proved himself five years later when, backed by Jack Walker's money, he won the Premiership with Blackburn Rovers. I think that after that he lost some of his taste for management, and his results at management level declined somewhat after that.

You'll surely appreciate, however, Groundnpound, that he not only inherited a very good Liverpool side in 1985/86, but that he got more than a little help from Bob Paisley whilst he dealt with the transition into player/management. Furthermore, Liverpool at the time was just a case of making the odd adjustment here and there to a squad of players who were winning trophies every year.

Today, he not only faces the prospect of a full clear-out of the deadwood and non-tryers at a huge cost if LFC are to become truly competitive once again, but times have changed beyond recognition since he was last in the Anfield hotseat. Then it was managers who ruled the roost, whereas nowadays the power is with the players, as Messrs McManaman, Alonso and Mascherano will testify to name but three.

I do know what respect is, I respect your views although I may not necessarily share them. I didn't paste my comments off any website; my views are always my own and I always say it as I see it, whether it's about some of the babes on the babe channels or about anything else.

Instead of just listening to your fellow Liverpool fans, you really should listen to the views of the non-Liverpool fraterniny on here because they are the ones who see things objectively from an outsider's perspective and are thus more inclined to see the things that rose-tinted glasses obscure.

If you truly believe that Kenny Dalglish is the answer then fair play to you, I respect your view, but honestly, football - like all things in life - is a game of opinions, and the opinions of others do count as well and should thus be respected.

Kenny Dalglish will be judged in a few months from now, not on the basis of 2 training sessions (which is all he had, one of those was without the first team as they had monday off). Liverpool fans are said to be looking on his appointment with "rose-tinted glasses". Well the non-Liverpool supporters are looking on it in a biased view too, convinced that it'll fail because that's what ye want to happen. Give the man his chance and we'll see where it goes.

lindor, while i dont agree with you, your argument is well-put and well-thought out and i respect that. Now as for these blue noses......if all you lot have to shout about is the fact that Liverpool are performing poorly then you guys are a pathetic bunch!!!! Everton have finished above Liverpool just once in something like 25-26 years and even that was overshadowed because we won the European Cup 10 days later!!!!! this Sunday ye will be back where ye belong.....in the SHADOW of LFC. Lets see if ye'll come on here mouthing off then.

you are talking sense on your post lindor. once i heard he went back in charge, straight away i thought they've gone backwards, cos he has been there before. they were reasons why he left and it definately took its toll on him. not being a liverpool fan im not really that bothered whos in charge, but if he fails to bring liverpool fans the holy grail the league title i just hope they remember him as a great player he were for them and celtic. when talking about the greatest british players i remember emlyn hughes saying once that kenny was second only to bestie... i think we all know for liverpool to start challenging again its goin to take quite a while.

No matter what happens with his tenure in charge this time. He'll ALWAYS be The King. He's the greatest player in our history and will always be remembered that way. What he did for the families of the victims of Hillsborough was immense and will never be forgotten. He loves the club and he bleeds for the club. And no true LFC fan would ever look any different to me on King Kenny Dalglish.

RE: Liverpool FC - chrislatimer - 13-01-2011 17:58

but if you lose your next 3 games you will turn on him, it what koppites do best turn on their managers, any old excuse.

RE: Liverpool FC - malicious fan - 13-01-2011 18:12

i do think that your being a bit harsh master yoda on everton! after heysal and uefa deciding to ban us for 5 years and u lot for 6 years i think it was, iv no doubt in my mind that the everton team of that era would have won at least 1 european cup to go with their two league championship trophys which they won in 85 and 87, and not forgetting their other 6 championships and numerous other trophys.
