RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Hobgoblin - 05-01-2026 00:21 Sweeping the Bears feels good but this still hurts. Should have handled business against the Vikings and Steelers
RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Louisetights - 05-01-2026 00:25 Well Lions win on last second FG but Philly are looking set to lose to the Commanders so the Bears will remain at #2 seed and will face the Packers next week We actually played fairly well for the 1st half and had it at 14-10 before a 59 yard FG on the half made it 17-10 and then the 2nd half it was as bad as it could get and got the doors blown off Disappointing half to end the season and that might be the last we see of McDaniel as HC of the Dolphins It seems totally 50/50 if he is back or not RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Rammyrascal - 05-01-2026 00:45 If you'd said to me Chicago would be NFC North champs & no 2 seed in NFC this season, I'd have said "are you on something?" Massively exceeded my expectations. Bring on the Packers
RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - sonofapaddy - 05-01-2026 07:35 Bloody Hell The Raiders Won! And Against The Chiefs! RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Louisetights - 05-01-2026 08:48 That Pittsburgh vs Baltimore game sure lived up to the hype, incredible drama A tale of 2 kickers misses It looked like Boswells missed XP with under a minute to go only leaving a 2 point lead would be so costly only for Loop to miss the 40 yarder as time and the season expired Great back and forth game after it looked like the Ravens might run away going up 10-0 early but Rodgers had one of if not his best game of the season to bring Pittsburgh back into it and could have been even further ahead if not for 2 missed 4th down attempts from the red zone one from the 1 yard line as the 1st half ended. Great game in what was effectively a playoff match so if the rest of the playoffs are like that then we'll be in for a treat. Schedule released Carolina vs La Rams in the early Sat spot as expected Bears vs Packers gets prime time Saturday night Jaguars vs Bills and Eagles vs 49ers are the Sunday regular times for us Patriots vs Chargers on SNF and Steelers vs Texans on MNF to round things out for the week. Really tough playoffs to call RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 05-01-2026 16:56 (05-01-2026 07:35 )sonofapaddy Wrote: Bloody Hell The Raiders Won! RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 05-01-2026 18:25 Steelers 26 - 24 Ravens A game worthy to cap off the regular season that has been as good as I can remember. The first half finished with the Ravens holding a 10 - 3 lead with the Steelers well in the contest, they actually had a chance to go into the halftime tied but failed to convert a 4th down with seconds remaining. Henry had racked up 100 yards but was kept in check thereafter. Rodgers got into his game as the Steelers score 10 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter. helped by a Jackson interception. The 4th quarter was a treat to watch, the Ravens led 17 - 13 before the lead changed hands 3 times inside the final 4 minutes. After a tight first half four 4th quarter touchdowns was unexpected. With 55 seconds remaining the Ravens had time to move into field goal range. Ravens rookie kicker Tyler Loop had been perfect from inside 50 yards but his kick missed wide right as he held his head in despair. The Ravens have under performed this season with their talent, whereas the Steelers have overperformed. The Steelers defence really turned the screw in the 2nd half & the Ravens who had been scrambling towards to playoff just ran out of momentum. RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 06-01-2026 07:11 Atlanta Falcons have sacked Head Coach Raheem Morris & GM Terry Fontenot. Morris had an 8-9 record in both of his 2 seasons. The unresolved QB issue has hampered their progress. Yeah the late season winning streak when already eliminated papered over some of the cracks and despite actually tying for the division win they were never in contention, I thought he might get another crack due to the late season run but with the GM going it usually means times up for the HC as well. Cardinals, Raiders and Browns also Fired there HC, the 1st 2 not a surprise at all but Stefanksi is a 2 time coach of the year with the Browns but again he just couldn't get the QB issue resolved in his 6 seasons and went through I think I read 13 different starters in that time for a 46-58 overall record. I expect him to get a look in with one of the openings with Titans and Giants also looking for new HC after the in season firings. So 6 (at the moment) teams with Vacancies It seems Mike McDaniel will remain as the Dolphins HC saying he will be involved in the interview process for a new GM and is the HC until he is told otherwise. So unless a perfect GM falls on our laps and they are totally adamant they will only sign with a New HC I expect he will remain. RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 06-01-2026 13:38 I many cases, both this season & in previous seasons the firing of the Head Coaches are a result of them carrying the can for the failings of those in the front office. These are often dysfunctional organizations from the top. I can't imagine anyone jumping at the chance to fill the vacancy at the Raiders, the Pete Carroll appointment was hardly a forward thinking step & with the elephant in the room Tom Brady it makes the whole situation awkward. If the Raiders improve he will take the accolades, he's saying nothing now, Carroll must be done now will the NFL. The Cardinals job is a revolving door, who would even want that, Gannon is a decent coach who will pick up a coordinators job at least, same goes for Morris. Stefanksi is the most likely to pick up a vacant Head Coach job if there's a good fit for him. |
