RE: Ofcom Discussion - Charlemagne - 21-12-2010 08:45 Is it Ofcom investigation week? The unmentionable channel ran the equivalent of a dayshow at night, and all the babes are being well clothed... out have gone the skimpy pants and thongs and in have come dresses and tight fitting full length pants. They look like they haven't changed from their Christmas parties. RE: Ofcom Discussion - beller - 21-12-2010 09:38 @kenilo et al I know I shall i emd up saying this till you all lose the will to live. It's no good us sitting back and complaining to each other - we need, all of us, to get out there and make a fuss with the appropraiate authorities, as listed elsewhere on these threads. Only one FOI request has ever been made to Ofcom regarding their generally accepted standards - not even the Babe Channels themselves can be bothered. Why doesn't that surprise me? That's at least part of the reason why we deserve everyting we (don't) get. RE: Ofcom Discussion - mancman - 22-12-2010 00:16 How come Frankie Boyle can verbally attack/offend a disabled child & his mother one week & the week after take the piss out of cancer victims, on prime time TV & still have his show on the air? Surely this is much worse than a perfectly natural naked woman on the screen & it certainly sets a much worse example for any kids watching, of which there will be many times more than watch the babeshows. RE: Ofcom Discussion - Kenilo - 22-12-2010 16:20 Listen. If you get any normal bunch of blokes out together allbeit out for a drink or sitting in the canteen in work, If they all get chatting soon enough you will all have a good jist of everybodies preferences. Wether they like fat women, skinny women, big tits, small tits and so on. They will all admit to watching porn if given the chance and end up swapping any porn films they have. It Does'nt mean it rules their lives or makes them want to go out and rape women. It does'nt warp their minds its just blokes being honest and normal. I havent met a bloke yet who does'nt like to look at nice women, dressed, semi-dressed or naked. So if thats the norm whats the problem? The problem seems to be that most normal People cant be bothered to ring up and lodge a complaint everytime they come across a station showing something that they are not interested in or don't like. If its of a sexual nature and they have kids they turn on the parental blocks. Young children are not allowed use computers out of sight of the parents. Game consuls on line are monitored for dodgy use or cyber bullying. Mobile phones the same. These are the things normal people do and these would be the topical conversations you would hear as parents get to grips with ever changing technology. Yet I have never heard one person speak of picking up a phone and complaining to a broadcaster about the content of a programme. I mean come off it. The shite that does be in coronation st and eastenders is enough to drive anybody to suicide. So who is ringing up? How warped are their views or more importantly How sad are their lives? IF they cannot deal with the sight of a beautiful woman to the extent that they loose the ability to change the channel but can still remember the number for OFCOM. If they live in such a sheltered world that they dont yet realise the 14 &15 year old sons and daughters are already streets ahead on sexual knowledge. If these people ( The Mary Whitehouse Brigade ) get their way it will back to the old days when the horniest thing you will see on TV will be the likes of top of the pops and the Kenny Everet Show. Actually thinking about it if they get their way with the Babe Channels the Music Channels will be next. Songs of Praise will be the only thing on Telly. Thats my rant for the day over with. Going out on the piss now to drown my sorrows knowing that these bastards will probably get their way. RE: Ofcom Discussion - eccles - 23-12-2010 23:40 Theres no accounting for taste. Perhaps they think they are doing goths work. RE: Ofcom Discussion - Scottishbloke - 24-12-2010 02:57 What piss's me off most is we're the only fucking country in Europe with these strict censorship laws towards the babe channels. Who exactly did win World War 2 because you wouldn't think it was us who at one point were the only country left in Europe fighting the Nazi's and their fascist rules would you! What was the fucking point when you look at what we've become. Ofcom spare a thought for the many sacrifices and needless deaths caused all in the name of democracy and freedom. PS - Go fuck yourself Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg too! RE: Ofcom Discussion - nailpouchofmine - 24-12-2010 12:44 It is blatantly obvious that these new rules do not in any way scare the adult pin encoded channels,as anyone who watched any of the freeview advertisements for Adult Channel,Television X,Redhot tv and Climax could see, Bye the way, what you see on the freeview is about what you would get if you subscribed, believe me when I tell you that I did subscribe to them all for many years, until they started thinning the amount of programmes down to what they have now,but thats a different story. The thing I am on about is why can`t the babe channels show the same amount of content as do these freeview channels? RE: Ofcom Discussion - Krill Liberator - 24-12-2010 14:03 (22-12-2010 00:16 )mancman Wrote: How come Frankie Boyle can verbally attack/offend a disabled child & his mother one week & the week after take the piss out of cancer victims, on prime time TV & still have his show on the air?Lots of folk openly admit to liking Frankie Boyle, on the understanding that they won't be vilified for it; the generally-accepted attitude is "Well, if that's what you enjoy, then whatever". But Interestingly, in other Ofcom-related stuff, this was on Yahoo News* this morning: "The BBC's 'Top Gear' is once again embroiled in controversy after the famous hosts were shown performing a drive-by shooting of The Stig. The stunt aired on Tuesday evening (December 21) during the first of two Christmas specials, involving a trip across the US. The episode has been slammed by some viewers and the BBC has admitted that it has received a 'considerable number' of complaints. TV regulator Ofcom has confirmed that it has also been contacted, and will investigate in due course." So a drive-by shooting gag causes viewers to have a SOH failure and complain, but what do you imagine will prevent SwitchItOfcom from investigating immediately, as opposed to "in due course"? The small matter of some still-extant babeshows, mebbe? In case I don't see y'all beforehand, MERRY CHRISTMAS, THE LOT O' YA'S!!! *(News written by, and for, a bunch of Yahoos) RE: Ofcom Discussion - nailpouchofmine - 24-12-2010 18:52 Overzealous. Facetious. Complacent. Obstructive. Meddlers. and thats just a start!!! |
