^ cosmonaut, Chelsea weren't quick to get it dealt with, Ramires had got until 6pm today to reply to the charge, it's Mourinho and Rui Faria that have got until Monday to reply.

Thank you for the correction mr mystery. Although I'm not sure why the FA even need a reply from someone in a case like this where the video evidence is clear, as Ramires could hardly have denied the charge.

He could say "he provoked me" or something, no idea if that would make things worse or not....

I've seen much talk about a Mourinho master plan at Anfield yesterday, so here's a statistical note on the match. Chelsea kept a clean sheet despite Liverpool having 26 goal attempts in the match - almost double the Premier League average of 13.83. However, Chelsea's tight defence meant that only 5 of those Liverpool goal attempts came from inside the box - compared to a Premier League average of 7.75 attempts per club per match from inside the box. This means that Liverpool's percentage of goal attempts from inside the box out of total goal attempts in the match was 19.2% (5 out of 26), a figure way below the Premier League average of 56%.

This week Chelsea were eliminated from the Champions League at the semi-final stage, the 5th time this has happened. Only Barcelona (6 times) have been defeated more often in Champions League semi-finals.

Mourinho... Specialist in Semi Final Failure?

RE: Chelsea FC - admin. - 02-05-2014 21:51

Some semi-final success for Chelsea! The Under 21 side have qualified for the Premier League's U21 Championship Final by overcoming Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Chelsea will now play Manchester Utd in the title decider with the date and venue of the final to be announced later.
