Final deal vote takes place next Tuesday. RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??) - SecretAgent - 09-01-2019 12:29 This message has been received by Nick Boles MP who voted yesterday to try to restrict the chances of a No Deal Brexit “Your days are f***ing numbered traitor! Prepare to die.” This is what our country has come to. I hope that all members of the forum whatever their views on Brexit will condemn this deplorable threat. The PM or Black Rod? I hope in his afterlife he comes back as a demented donkey that's kicked to death every day of his life. Not only that I reckon he's already sold his soul to the Devil and would sell his mother in law to the highest bidder RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??) - HannahsPet - 11-01-2019 11:21 would be a vote of all the MP's he keeps surviving pity as hate thepoisoned dwarf RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??) - Scots Napoleon - 11-01-2019 12:18 Bercow is doing a great job. If only we had a few more heroes like him, because it's so important for MPs to stand up to the government. His recent decision to allow a vote the government didn't want has of course prompted outrage amongst the rightwing, although all he did was to allow MPs to vote on something they wanted to vote on. The government’s real problem is not that MPs were allowed a vote, but that it no longer has a majority on Brexit matters, and that isn't Bercow's fault. The outcome of the vote itself was very sensible, as the government now has to take quick action if it loses the Brexit vote next week. Brexiteers should be happy with this development, as they have been arguing all along that the UK parliament should take back control. RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??) - Lord Rockingham - 11-01-2019 13:04 Yes Bercow is a great guy. The best thing of all is that he won't be cowed by criticism and will carry on doing what he feels is the right thing. RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??) - southsidestu - 11-01-2019 19:08 In 2013 Bercow went against Parliamentary Convention during The Queens Speech when he allowed an unprecedented third amendment about the absence of bill on our membership of The EU. Brexiteers were pretty silent about that instance of going against parliamentary procedure, it's only when it goes against their own interests do they have a problem. Which of course is the way of the world, Remainers would be the same no doubt but that don't make the hypocrisy stink less I'm seeing that the Tories are drawing up a list of nominees for the next EU Parliamentary elections in the event of Brexit being delayed. Brexit continues to go well RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??) - Charlemagne - 12-01-2019 09:05 Jean Claude Junker is prepared to offer Mrs May help by giving more reassurances to the MP's that the Irish backstop for the customs union would only be temporary. He's still in talks with Downing Street |
