I was very bored today and the person I usually play Operation Flashpoint with was at work so I decided to get my SNES and N64 down from the loft. 4 hours into Ocarina of Time and it just really made me think, games are getting so much worse, I have not enjoyed a game this much in years and I am replaying it. Don't get me wrong many current games are very good but not many of them can grab me like that and just make me feel I need to play them. And after looking at my entire PSOne/N64/SNES collection that I have kept in my room and is not in storage, I have FFIV-IX, Wild Arms, LoZ: OoT, LoZ: MM, Mario 64, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Super Mario World/ Super Mario All Stars, MGS, MGS: SM, LoZ: LttP, Goldeneye, Super Bomberman, Joe and Mac: Cavemen Ninja and Super Mario Kart just to name a few, and it really does make me think, all these games are fucking classic, some may be niche (Wild Arms and Joe and Mac for example, I doubt 20 people on the forum have played these games), and I cannot think of many current gen games that are classics like these, the last game to make me just think wow was Arkham Asylum, but I am a huge comic geek and that is the only game this year. I am worried with the industry.

Just finished Batman Arkham Asylum.
Really enjoyed it. missed qquite a few Riddlers puzzles so might go back to it.

Agreed with Mas. I'm very much a retro gamer. While I own a PS3/Wii, I rarely play them. Well, put it this way, my Wii has played more Mega Man 2 and Super Mario 3 than it has current gen stuff.
This evening, I spent installing Warcraft III and Diablo II, two absolute classics if you ask me. Can't wait to get playing them again!

opp flashpoint 2 dragon rising so so tactical shooter... but ive just started so i havent had any real opertiunity to explore its depth.
an occasional game of fear 2, this has definatly been spoilt with no 3rd party server support and steam's vac.
sorta reminds me of mw2 and how that is gona die the death on pc... fuckwits have realy screwed the pc comunity with this 1... saying we are offering the console experiance to the pc comunity. the idiots dont get if we wanted the console experiance we'd play the game on a fuckin console.
