Regards the poll it depends if they keep their players fit and they play to their potential then they have a real chance.

That looks a lot like the poland - west germany semi-final from 1974! (one for the older viewers).

We have even less chance if Gerrard is injured. Did anybody else see him pull up against Japan clutching his leg? Looks like it could be another foot problem. Sad

Think he should be ok mate. Aye just hope Fabio doesn't go with Theo Walcott on the right just seems he has a lack of knowledge playing in that position. There was a few times Rooney you could see was far from impressed with Theo over the cause of the 2 games. Also over the cause of the 2 games for me i thought Rooney looked like he was losing his head N was starting to get a bit angry with how the players were playing don't mind him showing his frustration at the team but will have to make sure he keeps him self from doing out daft. N just a final point on Theo if Fabio gonna play Walcott right side he shouldn't go but if hes willing to play him up front he should does anyone else think Theo could cause teams problems up front i think he would be ideal

I don't know mate, hard to say really. I suppose Walcott can use his pace on the wing and take guys on and put a ball over, but I would have liked to see him go as a forward / striker.

I think he and Darren Bent should both be the strikers ahead of that donkey Emile Heskey though. See that sitter he missed against Japan?! Free header in front of an open goal, that bloke's had enough chances in the past and now its time to say goodbye. annoyed

So my forwards would be Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Bent and Walcott.

Am just not sure about Heskey going on the bases will he bag you a goal then your right he should be left out. But for arguments sake you could say he is the only player that brings out the best in Rooney and think it pretty obvious he does to. Michael Owen always loved having Emile as his partner up front to and he is a big powerful guy.

I know what your saying about Walcott pace on the right but his end product is terrible never gets a cross in the box just runs. Just think if he was a forward he would know what his job was getting behind the defence and putting the ball in the net he was a good finisher when playing up front for the under 21 and Southampton got some beauty's
