This season will go down to the wire, looking at the fixtures each team has i think it will be, Wigan, West ham and Blackpool. It would be a real shame if Blackpool do get relegated as they have been real entertainers this season but i fear they will pay the price for their cavalier brand of football.

You can add Sunderland to the mix but I think Wigan Blackpool and West Ham

A few months ago l thought my beloved Blackburn were safe and heading for a mid table finish then the chicken farmers moved in and bought the club and sacked big Sam, So now it's way to close to call with so many clubs within a couple of points of each other any of the bottom ten clubs could go down including Blackburn, but ever the eternal optimist my predictions are:

West Ham
Blackpool
Wigan

We have a big game coming up playing Birmingham who are also struggling at the bottom so a massive game for both clubs.

With 38 points already i think Sunderland are almost safe, 6 of their last 7 games are against sides in the bottom half of the table and they should win at least a couple of those games, especially the home fixtures. West ham, Blackpool and Wigan, either due to their fixtures or lack of points in the bag are the sides that will really struggle. It,s been a very strange season so far, last year 31 points would have kept you up now it will probably take 42, that is a huge difference.

It's a bit of a stretch but you could even say every team below Liverpool should be looking over their shoulder

At the end of last season there was a 9 point gap between 19th (Hull) and 14th (Bolton)
Currently there's only a 10 point gap between 20th (Wigan) and 7th (Everton) !!!

Which makes it near impossible to predict the 3 teams to go down...

But if I had to guess I'd say Wigan, Wolves and WBA Big Grin

I would have to say that WIGAN will definitely go down as they just don't have any sort of fire-power within their ranks; they play decent football and possess some tidy footballers, but I just can't see three weaker teams in the Premiership than them.

The next obvious choice has got to be BLACKPOOL sadly. They really are going nowhere fast and are this season's team that falls like a stone when the end comes around. It's a shame as they've gone about things so admirably regards wage caps and spending within their limit whilst trying to nest-egg monies for the club's future, but welcome to the harsh realities of the Premiership. The only way out of it I can possibly see for them is if United have wrapped up the title by the last day of the season; Ferguson and Holloway are big pals and I wouldn't then be at all surprised if United played the stiffs!

The final choice is the most difficult by far; I think both Wolves and West Brom will have done enough to get out of it - it staggers me to see Wolves still so far in the shit to be honest. Surely Villa and West Ham will get the breaks/results and that leaves Birmingham and BLACKBURN I just think that Birmingham may just about have got it back together again after the post-Carling Cup win, and despite their great result at Arsenal at the weekend, I just feel that the whole negativity surrounding Ewood Park at present may indeed become justified come the end of the season.

Its like an absolute log-jam at the bottom of the premier league, with still only a handful of points seperating bottom from mid-table. Its so tight that positions are changed frequently by the slightest of win-loss margins. A team can win two and shoot from bottom three to 13th or 14th, and a team can lose one and drop like a lead balloon into the bottom four.

I'm hoping and praying that Wolves will get out of it. I genuinely believe that they have played (at times, admittedly not all the time) the best out of all the relegation contenders and if I'm honest, I'd rather all the midlands teams stayed up, I want the local derbies again next season. I keep thinking that Fulham and Blackburn will show enough grit needed to fight their way out of trouble.

So that leaves (and I take no pleasure in anyone else's misfortune), the three who I think will fight to the end but will ultimately fail:

West Ham's defeat to United after being 2 up will hurt. Green, Parker and Cole are obviously vital to their hopes and are England internationals. But I don't see Avram Grant as the kind of guy who can instill enough confidence in players. He can do it for the odd game, but its not enough to play in fits and starts. They've been on a good run, and they probably will win a few more games before the season's out, but so will others, and the Hammers will fall agonisingly short.

Wigan have some really class players - Figueroa, Rodallega and Cleverley who I think is a terrific player. But they've been in the relegation zone virtually all season, and their home form is poor. Started badly with a hammering at home to Blackpool, and that really set the home rot in right from the start.

Blackpool are dropping at an alarming rate, and for me are now finding themselves sadly out of their depth. When you concede an average of two goals a game, and therefore have to score three every time to have any chance of winning, you have serious problems. They have one class player in Adam, but they cannot stop leaking the goals. I also think they have the hardest run-in out of everyone (Arsenal and Man Utd who are both desperate for the title still to come) and this tough period couldn't have come at a worse time. Holloway's character and quotes will be missed, and the Tangerines have entertained, but ultimately I feel their dream will be the inevitable nightmare.

Its the tightest its ever been, the bottom 3 at the moment could all escape, normally there is a team thats bottom all season and would be all but down by now but not this year.

Im going for Blackpool Blackburn and Wigan but could be wrong on all three

Blackpool -Sad to say it but Dropping fast
Wigan - Fighting the drop fo the last few seasons think their luck will run out
West Ham - Same reason as Wigan

I think it'll be these three teams: West Ham, Wigan & Blackpool.
