Should be an interisting final round of The US Open.McDowell & Furyk the only players under par,but what about a new major winner,Jacobson,Colsaerts & dare I say Westwood with a strong European challenge.

The last round on that course will be the toughest challenge yet. Miss the fairways at your peril and even when you get the ball on the green its tough because the greens are treacherous. Add the pressure of a major tournament final round and all sorts of mayhem could ensue eek.

now u know westwood is destined to never win a major, fancy hitting it up a fuckin treeSad

Never say never in golf but it's clear Westwood will now struggle to win this one.

He was very unlucky with that shot - it was only a fraction off the correct line and how often does a golf ball stay up in the canopy? Fact is that again his putter let him down, he left a good 10 shots out on the greens over the four rounds.
Terrific final day anyway, at one point about 12 players could have won it.

All Professional Tournaments should be set up like this or at least close to.Becomes boring when birdies & eagles are flying in every minute & 2
under wins it.Westwood needs some luck & he'll win one before long. He's fitter & playing better than ever.

yeah but he cant be unlucky every major he goes in for and like u say his putting let him down again! go back to the masters when he shot a 1st round 67 but any1 else who had his chances that day on the greens would have probably hav shot low 60's! he gives himself chances but he always has alot more putts than any1 else! im from same town as lee, well at the min anyway cos iv heard hes put his house up for sale, just hope he learns to read greens better than what he is doing!

Adam Scott holds a 4 shot lead in The Open, but McDowell & Tiger have the class to chase him down.Zac Johnson has form coming of a win,but 6 shots back could be too much.

RE: Golf - groundnpound - 22-07-2012 00:44

It's Adam Scott's to lose now. Hope the wind gets going and opens it up a bit.
