Rooney's doing the right thing. At the moment he can go to Man City who will give him a crazy £300,000 a week to sign for them. If he waits or hesitates the UEFA financial rules will take effect, as they start from the beginning of next season and after that clubs will be more reluctant to commit to big salaries, knowing that the new rules mean they have to live within their means. Rooney needs to grab a crazy offer from Man City while he still can and that means before next season starts. His agent has no doubt explained this to him very thoroughly.
