Eh, you know what? it was a perty good line-up of contenders and shows what a great year we've had, sports-wise; did someone mention football?
In my eyes, they were all winners; in fact, I think that sport wins here.

I would say it was a very good line up. And with the rightful exclusion of any footballers (in fact football wasn't mentioned much in this years whole event at all and rightly so after that world cup disaster) it was a much better event.
David Beckham received his lifetime achievement award and thats fair enough, but any other footballers were banished from the finalists.

i will be honest i have not heard of the guy who won ever in my life, i had barely heard of any of the nominees...must have been a shocking year for sport overall in the UK
