Following some service interruptions between 9:00 and 11:00 this morning, the normal service of our image hosting site has now been resumed and all images should be showing in the forum as usual.

I hope everyone likes the 'upgrade' to 8 uploads at a time as it took me a while to get it done.
We also have another image host now, which has a 200 size thumbnail instead of the 150 size that we use here, although that still allows only the 5 uploads for now. It can be found at http://www.babeimage.co.uk

The extra capacity for uploading is a huge improvement. As my standard set is 24 caps, it means I can do it in three batches rather than five which definitely saves time. So well done admin for doing that, it is certainly appreciated by me

I'd really like to transition over to this as it's linked with key people on this site so if there are any issues, it gets prompt attention. Today I use MyPix for the main caps and ImageVenue for thumbnails as they provide for 300x300 size.
At present I'm unable to move due to the 300kb file size limit. This is fine and in fact generous for normal single caps (so I will stop using MyPix and move those over). However for thumbnails these regularly go over that at anywhere between 380Kb and 650Kb. Are there any plans to increase the limit or should I just review how I create (or host) my thumbnails...

The file size limit at Babe Image is 500kb. I'll take a look at that limit and see if we can make it higher.

The maximum file size allowed on uploads at the Babe Image site is now set at 600kb.
