I'm not clued up on Scottish players, so who would be a few players, presumably under 23 that would be worth taking?

Grant hanley would prob have been one of those

the scottish FA were against it all along cos they are scared because will show how little talent there is out there in scotland least wales have produced some good footballers in the last 20 years who is the greatest scottish player in 20 years ?

Scottish fans still harking back to the 70's and 80's when they had talent in droves but where was it neurtured in england with Liverpool and the like

Scotland's young player of the year, James Forrest, was on Stuart Pearce's shortlist for the Olympic squad, but was made unavailable by his manager Neil Lennon due to Celtic's Champions League qualifiers.

So it might actually be that no Scottish players were available for selection rather then they weren't picked ?

Lots of bad decisions by Pearce (except omissions due to injury, like Bale).

If it were me, my selection would be:
Ben Amos
Kyle Walker
Danny Wilson
Micah Richards
Kieran Gibbs
David Beckham
Aaron Ramsey
Jonjo Shelvey
Gareth Bale
Scott Sinclair
Daniel Sturridge
(as ideal starting XI, if some players weren't injured, along with..)
Chris Maxwell
Ryan McGiven
Ryan Bertrand
Henri Lansbury
Dan Gosling
Tom Cleverley
Victor Moses.

Victor Moses is a Nigerian international, so he hardly qualifies for the Great Britain team.

Stuart Pearce has announced that Ryan Giggs is the GB captain for the Olympic tournament.

Which team would get furthest, the men's team, the women's team or neither?

The GB men have got more chance I think, but Brazil and Spain will be hard to beat, even though we have home advantage. USA are the favourites for the women's tournament and the British women will have done really well if they get as far as the semi-finals.
