ok, the officials have really been doing a number on me this weekend (and Wigan & QPR to a lesser extent). Wigan were clearly the victims of a poor excuse for a linesman. QPR are just having a crap time with officials lately. Lee Mason and the linesman were equally incompetent.

if video replays were brought in, none of this would be a problem bladewave

I'd say that there's little chance of us getting a successful apeal against Derry's red card. in honesty I think it's just basically that I feel the standard of officials this season has gone down a bit and in one thread i mentioned that the FA and the Referees need to get to get together before next season and re - write whatever code of
practice that exists for referees and linesman because I think that code clearly doesn't seem to be adhered to.
also I think there should be a referees committe that meets so that where any controversial decisions arise in a game and the referee concerned should explain why he didn't see it. Also I agree with Alan Green of R5 when will refereres be allowed to come out after matches and face media questions? at least then we would have a clear idea wby they made that particular decision.
Other than that, I think some decisions are made at certain clubs because there are enough people from that club to influence a deciskion.

Ya referees should have to give interviews to explain their decisions and stop living people confused as to why they made a certain decision in a game

Norwich denied a penalty against Spurs, who break and score at the other end! Small clubs get treated the same RolleyesRolleyes

i agree with most of what you say, but still think the atmosphere has more to do with it. bigger clubs will have bigger stadiums and therefore, more fans to sway refs. if this was the argument people made when discussing this topic, i would be more inclined to agree, but i've still seen plenty of bad decisions go against United at Old Trafford and small enclosed grounds can be just as intimidating.

it would be good if refs came out after the game and gave their views on the game's key moments, but part of me thinks it would open them up to more criticism and they would be accused of seeking the limelight like Graham Poll was (but for the record, i don't think he was the best ref).

fergie, wenger, rednapp, mancini always complain about decisions that goes against them whether it a freekick, penalty, corner kick not given, added on time, bookings e.g like a sendin off
