RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - LODOS - 17-10-2012 19:05 England were poor tonight, the passing was really bad. RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - thescientist - 17-10-2012 20:15 The passing, ball retention and the mobility of the central midfielders are all not good enough and has been for some time and we've been getting away with it, but for how much longer? Even average/poor teams are causing to many problems for us. Until we get some young English players playing regular with the premier big teams it wont get any better. RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - cwpussylover - 18-10-2012 19:46 the poles deserved it more than us RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - cosmonaut - 22-03-2013 21:01 I sympathise with Rio Ferdinand. It must be difficult to choose between playing for England and commentating on the match instead. RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - Charlemagne - 22-03-2013 21:10 What's the record for the most corners won by one team in an International. It could be up to 30 by the end of the England match.. And we could end up with double figures in the goal count. England had 5 corners in the first 8 minutes but only 10 more in the remainder of the match, so a total of 15. San Marino managed to win 1 corner and had 2 goal attempts to England's 27 attempts. It's a great idea. It would reduce the number of matches overall that have to be played, and eliminate many of the mismatches such as last Friday's, which do neither "minnows" nor "giants" any good at all. Every other continent has some kind of World Cup pre-qualifying, apart from South America of course, as they only have 9-10 teams. However, because it's a good idea, it means it'll never get off the ground. As things stand, the minnows are virtually guaranteed a money-spinning game against one of the top countries. They won't want to give that up in a hurry. RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - William H Bonney - 26-03-2013 22:55 A game of 2 halves in Montenegro tonight. England attempted 250 passes in the first half but only 145 in the second. The 1-1 draw keeps Montenegro top of the group and takes their unbeaten run to 9 matches. RE: England world cup 2014 qualifying campaign - 7 stars of the orient - 26-03-2013 23:20 Well that was a Jekyll and Hyde performance from England tonight and the group's looking as though it's going to be very close. We better not lose in Ukraine and we must beat Poland and Montenegro at home. |
