I can't believe people still join and post there as no one from the channel ever responds.
Nothing beats talking to yourself!

Just try typing Playboy one into the google search bar. All the top items are about this fine.
eg http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7979510.stm
There are lots of links about it.

For all those on here that jump to the support of this channel, and you know whom you are!
Here we go.... Its the PhonepayPlus organisation that holds the greater power over these TV services, and not in the main Ofcom.
24 Seven Communications Limited is the ofcom licence holder for the chatback TV service. They also supply phone numbers for other services, not just chatback.
With regards a complaint in relation to 24 Seven Communications Limited and chatback, Phonepayplus published an adjudication on 5th March. It can be read in full at http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/business/adjudications/search.asp?cmd=3&id=823
The complaint dates back to last year, and does not relate to the TV shows. Anyway, the complaints have been upheld, and the tribunal imposed sanctions of:
A formal reprimand; and A £25,000 fine in respect of the upheld breaches. In setting the level of the fine, the Tribunal took into account the significant duration of the cross-promotional activity.
and.... The Tribunal did not impose any bar or requirement for compliance advice as it doubted whether the service could ever be compliant with the Code
Funny that phonepayplus can impose a 25k fine on 24 Seven Communications Limited and chatback, when playboy only get done for 22k for transmitting un-encrypted good quality porn! Just think what cost could be if phonepayplus wanted to fine chatback for the quality of TV shows the've been churning out?

Understand other complaints maybe in the pipeline. Hope they have deep pockets.

Was it early march that one of the producers was off on holiday. interesting meeting on return. £25000 fine for 24/7 comms and pennies coming in from chatback shows. = shite. something we are familiar with. blame the girls I here them cry!

Further info... on good authority. a few more complaints are being processed by Ofcom and Phonepay leading to possible heavy fines.
