Yeah I would rather Boston win too

Too right.
Can't stand the Cardinals. They are almost as annoying as the Yankees.
If there is a Baseball God please let the BoSox win.

Cards leading the World series 2-1 annoyed.

RE: Baseball - Robot Devil - 28-10-2013 11:32

And the series is tied ! It's become a best-of-three series now.

RE: Baseball - Robot Devil - 29-10-2013 11:36

Boston just one win away from the championship now: 3-2 series lead.

RE: Baseball - mikedafc - 29-10-2013 19:31

Is it back to Boston for game 6 and if necessary 7?

RE: Baseball - Robot Devil - 29-10-2013 19:36

Yeah, if it goes to 7, both will be at Fenway.

RE: Baseball - Snooks - 29-10-2013 19:37

Come on you Red Sox!!

RE: Baseball - mikedafc - 30-10-2013 19:46

In that case I don't see St Louis winning two games in Boston, hopefully Boston tie it up in game 6

RE: Baseball - Robot Devil - 31-10-2013 14:43

.....And that they did. Boston win the series 4-2. David Ortiz, not surprisingly, was named series MVP. So something of a shock World Series winner then in Boston Red Sox. A team thought to be in decline, with an average pitching rotation, yet some how they stayed strong and performed well all season. Congrats to Boston.

Will be an intriguing few months now 'til pre-season training begins in late February- the free agent market isn't the strongest this year, but there are some potentially big moves. Obviously the biggest free agent available is 2nd baseman Robinson Cano. Will he sign a megabucks deal to stay with the Yankees, or will another team, possibly the Toronto Blue Jays or even the Seattle Mariners, offer him the big money he wants- expect him to get at least $200M over 8 years. The other big name that could be moved is Max Scherzer of my own Detroit Tigers. The likely Cy Young award winner has one more year on his contract, and he's in line for a massive pay rise. Sadly, with so much money tied up in other players I doubt the Tigers will be able to afford him. So the Tigers will likely trade him. Hope we can get something good in return.
