Demolition job on Sri Lanka this afternoon as they were 67 all out.
Jordan got 5 -39.

The last 6 wickets fell for 9 runs. Difficult conditions for batting, but there were some soft dismissals.

Cook and Bell see England home in only 12.1 overs. England make 73/0 and win by 10 wickets.

Nice to see a bit of role reversal.
Well done England. A comprehensive win Smile.

I have to agree Snookered,England looked pretty good with bat, ball and in the field, just hope they can continue their recovery at Lord's in the next game, also think Jordan should be considered for the test squad as he continues to show great form with a man of the match 5 wicket haul today.

England get bowled out for under a hundred (99) to lose very easily and in the very next match Sri Lanka also get bowled out for less than a hundred (67). We can only hope and pray that these low totals were achieved by a combination of good opposition bowling, poor batting (what ever that is) and over-head atmospheric conditions - and nothing else.

What about Asian betting markets did you forget about that too? While most betting firms were concentrating on the football friendlies for betting irregularities taking place this week, it is possible Asian markets turned their attention to the cricket!! Smile

Have to say though I just hope that the Test series is just and hard fought as this is, and well done to Alistair cook for overtaking Michael Vaughn's win record.

For the 3rd match in a row England won the toss and inserted Sri Lanka. Unsurprisingly after the last result, England named an unchanged side.

Sri Lanka are well on top.. 182-1 34 overs

But Joe Roots found a way. In a comical moment where Root went for the ball whilst Dilshan was going for a run. (It's a future 'What happened next')
It left Dilshan needing straping on his leg

Sri Lanka 300/9 innings closed. England have never chased this many in a home ODI and I expect Sri Lanka to level the series at 2-2.
