Very sad to hear the news today. I grew up watching Mork and Mindy so thats another part of childhood memories brought back with his passing.

I thought he was brilliant in Good Morning Vietnam which was the first movie I ever seen his serious side to acting. Depression is such a misunderstood illness and for anybody to be so desperate to contemplate suicide as their only means of escape is arguably the greatest tragedy of all time.

RIP Robin Williams - You made us laugh and you also made us cry. Will be missed and forever remembered.

Very sad.
Weirdly, Sky Drama were scheduled to show "Awakenings" today , which I always thought was an under-rated one of his serious roles playing the socially introverted scientist Oliver Sacks who briefly discovers a temporary cure for the catatonic Robert De Niro.

But they've pulled it.

Wouldn't have thought it would have been disrespectful/bad taste to show it ?

Fisher King was another good "dramatic" role in a stylish film.

EDIT : Correction - I've just noticed they've rescheduled "Awakenings" on a different channel Sky 1, later tonight. Currently showing "Jumanji".

Very sad and shocking news. One of those actors of whom it seems everybody can name a favourite film and as has been mentioned previously in this thread many if us will forever remember Mork & Mindy. Seems that Orsen has finally arranged that transfer to another planet. God rest your sole Robin, you made the world a happier place for so many of us.

Robin Williams was one of the funniest men I have ever seen and heard but also one of the most creative, articulate and imaginative actors and entertainers of any generation.
He had a way with words and with his facial expression that was second to none.
I grew up watching him in various roles and as himself in interviews on many occasions and always found him to be instinctively hilarious.
A really outstanding man.
I will sorely miss him.
R.I.P.

how is it some people have confused the two? Expect Robbie to tweet that he is still alive and well anytime soon!! Can you get 'The Fisher King' on DVD at all?

Robin Williams was a comedy legend, a honest, funny, amazing, outstanding actor to watch on screen. The world has lost one of it's most talented comic actor.

I'm still in shocked at his sad passing

R.I.P Robin Williams (you never be forgotten)
