I find it funny that people think if the ref is ok then Manny wins but if the ref is not so good Mayweather gets lucky. Manny has been knocked out before so him losing is not going to be strange or down to a bad ref RE: Mayweather, Pacquiao, who wins? - george lusk - 02-05-2015 10:38 (02-05-2015 05:49 )Bandwagon Wrote: you really want Manny to catch him and end the smugness Mayweather hasn't been that smug in the build up to this fight. Not like he used to be at all. RE: Mayweather, Pacquiao, who wins? - Bandwagon - 02-05-2015 10:52 Yes and thank goodness, perhaps his dad should do the same. The Clubber Lang speech will undoubtedly come afterwards should he win Come on Manny, spare us that FFS, and then when your done......knock senior out too. RE: Mayweather, Pacquiao, who wins? - schvall - 02-05-2015 14:41 Mayweather's smugness was always phoney anyway. He knew that by acting smug he would get people paying to see him lose and that's exactly what's still happening now. Many of those who are paying to see this weekend's fight are doing so because they really hope to see Mayweather get beaten. The Pay Per View concept is something that Mayweather truly understands and he has milked it relentlessly. RE: Mayweather, Pacquiao, who wins? - Bandwagon - 02-05-2015 16:49 ^^^ It's true, his arrogant ways have indeed helped him rack up the huge earnings he has. Personally, after seeing and hearing his arrogance, I would say it was just as much a fluky side effect of his real personality as it is implied promotional genius. Either way, it has generated millions of dollar's in his favour, and for that, I tip my hat . The only real problem with all the trash talk is the potential to overhype, it doesn't bode well for the paying viewer's when things don't quite turn out as explosive as all the protesting. But I suppose if 'money' is indeed your predominant objective (as opposed to being titled and remembered as one of the best admirable fighters to have ever lived with a real passion for his sport) you won't worry about that whilst counting your purse will you. There's always a few ways to look at things, right or wrong.
