i think it is ignorant that just because there are some people who like to shorten words, people like yourself make pointless threads like this.

do you think you are the only person that 'text speak' irritates? well your not, its just that some people are more acceptive and not as pathetic as to bring it up. its been going on since the forum started.

i understand that it is your opinion and i welcome your opinion and accept it, but i have reacted in the way i have because i dont like to be called 'unintelligent' beacause im a lazy typer. lazy? yes i am, but i am not unintelligent or ignorant.

i'm not out to start an argument, someone else started this thread and i gave my opinion on the subject.

i didn't feel the need to get personal and disrespect someone else's opinion like yourself

no you felt the need to get personal and disrespectful and call me unintelligent and ignorant. i also was giving my opinion without calling you anything.

will you get a grip, and read what i said

i never directed anything at you personally,

your the one that started getting personal by directing stuff at me.

if you cant work that out maybe you are showing your intelligence level.

I constantly txt type words into most of my posts. I dont see the harm in substituting a few common words. Guess that makes me un-intelligent and a mong too. Have not heard that term in years but i apologize if i have caused any offence in any of my past posts due to txt typing. Tongue

Just to clarify, the above is meant in good humour.

Jimbo you have just earned my first negative rep for being rude, insulting & disrespective.

RE: using text format in the forum - jimbo5030 - 27-04-2009 08:16

If I have offended anyone I apologise, it was not my intention.

RE: using text format in the forum - jimbo5030 - 27-04-2009 08:30

The reason I am so annoyed when I would not normally care is that after starting the thread, u were not even involved in the disagreement.
Are you going to give a negative rep for everyone who disagrees with you? If being called unintelligent and and ignorant is rude then I am guilty. I believe I am the one who has been disrespected. If you have neg repped me because of the girlfriend comment then you did not see it in the manner it was meant which was to lighten a deeply darkening situation and shandyman saw it in the way it was intended and my comment afterwards backs this up. I'm not going to neg rep you back because I think it is petty but would like to ask you to try and be a little more patient in future because I believe that was uncalled for.

I have removed & edited this post, the only post that matters is the one below Smile

RE: using text format in the forum - Bunna - 27-04-2009 20:30

No apology is necessary, all is forgotten, the forum has for the last couple of days been a little hairy, when all said & done, there is probably a little truth in what you say & in what we all say.

Different people read some posts differently, where some people will see humour others may see hate, some posts will be written one way & interpreted another.Maybe we all need to take a pause & consider what we have written before it is posted.

I think this post will also work in another thread

I will also remove the negative rep I gave jimbo
