just watched the first episode its good think will be a slow started and get better
cant help notice its got a very blaxploitation movie vibe to it. maybe its the soundtrack and the overall feel to it

The reason why the show has a blaxploitation feel is because Luke Cage was created in the 1970's, 1971 at the height of blaxploitation plus the area in which it's set in is African American area.

So it's been a solid series, been a bit slow to start off with but I think it's because there putting the major players of series into position. Great acting and the music fits the show perfectly. Another Marvel Netflix hit.

Just started on episode one, don't know if there are any fellow hip hop fans out there watching this but noticed that every episode is named after a classic Gangstarr track. All the little things like this, what's been seen in the trailers and the usual Marvel cross-character nods and mentions, I think I'm going to be totally geeked out by the end of the series lol

Hadnt noticed Good for Gangstarr apparently after it was released there listens on spotify went up by over 3000 from the day before
Im on Ep 8 now and loving it.
Lots of References to all sorts theres even a diffrenet strokes reference

I have watched the first 4 eps and it is just has good as daredevil and Jessica jones.
I prefer the Netflix marvel to the marvel movies more grounded

Only thing I didn't like about Ep 3 was the last 15 mins something happens and for me was little too predictable apart from that a solid Ep good ending too.
So far Ep 4 my fav Ep loved the way it explained his origin story and the best big nod to comic Luke Cage.
