Well done Alastair Cook who has become the youngest player in Test history to reach 10,000 runs.

Fantastic achievement by Cook. The amount of stick he gets is beyond me, only one opener has ever got to this figure before. The problems we're having finding an opening partner for him show how tough it is to open in Test cricket

He is a quality batsmen. You don't get that many runs at an average of over 47 if you are not a class act especially when you consider the fact he plays half his matches in England, where the ball swings all over the place. Even KP the self proclaimed genius said it was a fantastic achievement

England 80-1 win by 9 wickets.

The final match in this series starts on 9th June at Lord's.

The series win will have moved us up the world rankings.

Difficult decision as to who will be the Man of the Match

We stay in 4th despite winning this series. What it does mean is that we will go above Pakistan if we beat them in the upcoming second series of the summer

England are 74/3 at lunch. Nick Compton was out for 1 and it's a shame but I think this is going to be his last test match.

^ And Sri Lanka aren't the best when it comes to bowling.
Compton better have a high scoring 2nd innings or it's back to the county circuit.
