RE: New Years Honours List - Charlemagne - 03-01-2024 17:11 Ex Post Office chief executive Paula Vennells should return her CBE that she was awarded in 2019. She was in charge of the Post Office during the period that the Post Office wrongly convicted over 700 of their postmasters. RE: New Years Honours List - SecretAgent - 03-01-2024 17:25 ^ Actually she should be in jail. What they did to those sub-postmasters was criminal and the cover up a major conspiracy. She was the architect of much of the cover-up. RE: New Years Honours List - Tumble_Drier - 03-01-2024 21:25 (03-01-2024 17:25 )SecretAgent Wrote: ^ Actually she should be in jail. She should be left to rot in a very cold, dark place. Pure Evil. RE: New Years Honours List - lovebabes56 - 04-01-2024 03:00 Would there be people further up the Post Office chain from her, who were never fully investigated that SHOULD be investigated - or does the buck stop with her? The whole thing I think has completely changed the way the public support the Post Office and even now I do feel there are probably (or likely) people still in top jobs within the Post Office who knew exactly what was going on at the time who helped with the cover up who should be in jail with her also. I believe there is a petition to strip her of it. RE: New Years Honours List - lovebabes56 - 04-01-2024 19:47 i would be surprised if any petitions to strip Venells of her CBE have reached over 100,000 today, I signed both that I found. When you think about it the goverment probably knew what the fuck was going on and kept quiet and did nothing, and they give her a CBE probably to say 'thanks for a job well done'. I'd say the Honours list is fucked and way past it's best. If Starmer wins a election - when it happens - I damn well hope he totally reforms the system and strips every last crooked cronyism gong from those who didn't deserve them this year and makes sure people who deserve one for good services, selfless acts, etc gets one instead. Also one of his first acts is to ensure she is put on trial swiftly and justice is done and eases the process for getting compensation or cases thrown out easier RE: New Years Honours List - The old Clit Eastwood! - 05-01-2024 08:49 (03-01-2024 17:11 )Charlemagne Wrote: Ex Post Office chief executive Paula Vennells should return her CBE that she was awarded in 2019. Don't forget she's a lady of the church. Hopefully she will have a very warm seat waiting down stairs when she pops her clogs. Utterly disgusting and unforgivable actions have put people's lives in the gutter. RE: New Years Honours List - The Silent Majority - 07-01-2024 07:45 This is the one to sign. RE: New Years Honours List - Charlemagne - 08-01-2024 16:55 Paula Vennells has hired an expensive London law firm to try to salvage her reputation. If only the accused postermasters had the same financial backing to defend themselves. Go running to the likes of Carter-Ruck or Schillings and start throwing cease & desist letters around to try and save your "reputation". |
