England team: Rory Burns, Joe Denly, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Ben Foakes, Sam Curran, Stuart Broad, James Anderson.

Two changes then, with Broad replacing Rashid. West Indies have won the toss and asked England to bat first.

Jennings is just not good enough but such is the dearth of batting talent in english domestic cricket they have to return to the tried and tested failures. They would be better off picking a one day specialist opener and giving him free reign to play his shots, at least he might get us off to a flyer and disrupt the opposition bowling attack.

Good pitch for bowling but holy shit England have the worst batting lineup in test cricket so many players averaging low 30s or worse.

Its not just about averages, England have won 8 out of their last 10 tests which includes a 4-1 thrashing of India the number one ranked test nation and a 3-0 series whitewash of Sri-Lanka on the sub-continent, something no other England side had achieved. But as i have said previously that was mainly down to the bowlers and lower order.

I change my mind England are exceptional at batting and never collapse then. Lol

I have the a feeling that the isn't anything but difficult but probably will be a 'slow burner' of a pitch by end of day 3- beginning of day 4 and suspect there will be very little to help to Ali usually Carribean pitches usually have some cracks in but I have a feeling this one won't do that.

At the end of the day West Indies are on 272-6

West Indies 306 all out. The batted for 131 over.

Currently England are 7-0

This is embarrassing. 132 all out in no time, leaving the Windies a "target" of 14 to win the series. It's about time England (a) stopped believing their own publicity & (b) learned how to play proper cricket properly. The biff-bang stuff is not Test cricket & never will be.
