I like comedy with a bit of an edge so my favourite comedians are Frankie Boyle and Jo Brand. Possibly supported by Jimmy Carr and Sean Lock.

Bill Hicks. Hands down, beats all others, been dead for 15 years and still his work is more relevant than many of the acts out there now...
the all time top 5 looks like this:
1 - Bill Hicks

5 - Chris Rock
...of todays acts, Frankie Boyle, Sean Lock (better on the game shows though) and Jimmy Carr stand out for me... but I can appreciate the whole kaleidascope of comedy... as long as you all agree that Bill is King...
