I think it does probably mean the likes of Woakes, Buttler, Root and probably Broad all need to step up on their run scoring to compensate for Stokes' omission.
I just hope the press do respect the privacy request, but I wouldn't put it past any of the papers to eventually find out the real reason why.

Broad has been fined 15% of his match fee for using inappropriate language. The incident occurred after he dismissed Yasir Shah. He is now 1 point away from a suspension.

Pakistan replaced allrounder Shadab with Fawad Alam.
England bring in Crawley for the unavailable Stokes, with Sam Curran replacing Archer.
Anderson make the early breakthrough with the wicket of Masood. Abid had 2 lives with catches going down in the slips, Broad & Woakes the unlucky bowlers with Sibley & Burns failing to take the chances.
Abid & Azhar have made 50 stand before an early lunch has been taken, due to rain.

Today's start has been delayed due to rain.
Lets hope for better fielding, decision and luck today. Yesterday saw two dropped caughts, one edge which they failed to challenge and the ball hitting the wickets and filing to dislodge the bails.
I'm sure that one of the Pakistan batsmen could have been out 3 times prior to his eventual dismissal.
