India are rattling along at 5/over. Anderson hasn't quite got it right. Archer has been a mixed bag, loose balls, but hostile at times. A perfect start with 2 early strikes before the spinners get into their work. Even the steady Pujara is playing his shots, he will be difficult to remove & is a great player of spin, capable of doing a Root & batting long.

India 59-2 ( 14 overs) lunch
Trail England by 578 runs

This last hour has produced a shocking bowling performance, brainless beyond belief.

England's got rid of Pujara thanks to a fluke dismissal.

Current score 192-5

Root might be a great batsman but he is a piss poor captain. England get a wicket and they bring back leach who promptly gets smacked around the ground.

56% probability of a draw

Well that went better than expected, if we can get them all out cheep tomorrow then bat well get say 350 in lead then have 4 and a bit session at them we could win this the pitch is moving to favour the bowling side I think,

Can't believe Bess did so well watched him for years at Somerset doing nothing where he was our 4th choice spinner

wonder if it is worth us bowling them out twice and win with a day to spare, but I would go down snookered's route get a lesd of around 350 - 400 and hope we can bowlvthemvout in 4 and a bit sessions. Big problem is we got Kholi out cheaply so worry he be the big danger second time around.

Bit harsh, but he's not the best. On the few occasions that he has filled in as skipper at Yorkshire, his record wasn't great, earning him the nickname from his teammates, craptain ! Although he was at the helm when they beat Notts to win the chamionship in 2014. Typical Yorkshire wit, another one of my favourites was when Pujara was an overseas player at the club, they had difficulties pronouncing Cheteshwar so they just called him Steve. Bounce

At times he can be inspired with field placings, generally he's a little defensive, you always feel he could go for one more close catcher. I didn't have any real issue with the way he kept Leach going, you always felt a wicket could come with Pant on the attack, it didn't happen for Leach, Bess could be considered lucky. Leach was not at his best, bowling full & short at times. I thought spin & & pace was the way to go with Pant & Stokes could've been reintroduced earlier.

Well after seeing Leach's bowling in this match I'd give him a new job for the rest of the series, 12th man.

And I wouldn't have picked Anderson over Broad.
