thoughts are with Eriksen's family and friends and all Danish fans and the team hope he pulls through. One of the best players on the Danish team and makes the Danes exckiting to watch.

I never saw the Foe or Muamba incidents happen, but I just saw that and it was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen while watching live sport.

You could just tell as he was falling that something wasn’t right and the players’ reactions made it clear how serious it was.

Right thing to abandon the game and I think the BBC was also right to stop the coverage. Lineker et al were clearly lost for words and another circle around the pundits’ table would have started to get really awkward.

I have never witnessed anything like that before, you hear about it, but never see it, I know it’s hard to control tv coverage with it being UEFA but should have been cut to studio/s sooner

Thoughts are with the player and his family

Eriksen has been stabilised according to UEFA. Hopefully no setbacks.

Just on the camera coverage, shocking that they kept it going on the scene and cut to his, I presume wife, distraught on the sideline. Someone invades the pitch or there's a streaker the camera is panned away and you can't see anything on the tv, really poor they didn't pan away and keep it away.

Christian Eriksen is in hospital in Copenhagen and has been stabilised..

Fingers crossed for a complete recovery, but doubt he will ever play football again.

I’m sure it’s a tough call for the producers to make in real time.

Whoever was directing the feed certainly didn’t have to select the long, lingering shots of the guy on the floor, getting CPR.

Good on the players for forming that human shield around him to give it all a bit of dignity. I suspect that will be the lasting image of Euro2020.

That said, the important thing is that he appears to have pulled through. There’s enough cause for angst and outrage in the world without getting exercised about whether a producer was a few minutes too slow or too fast to cut away from the scene.
