The owners don't care at all about the football pyramid. It's all about money and a closed shop so that they always play in the "top club competition"

I suspect though that the almost universal negative reaction will be making some of them nervous.

I have another issue, they can't really call it the European Super League, without Super Leeds United. ImportantWinkBig Grin

I think if they are kicked ou of PL, then the ESL will take the FA & UEFA to court.

But you'd just end up as the bottom club every year. Wink

Where as if the so called big 6 leave, you'd end near the top of the Prem.

Should replace the top 6 with those that started the first league Ie Derby, Stoke, Accrington Stanley, Preston North End ,Bolton and Rovers Tongue Tongue Tongue

one interesting Question would be what would they do with the womens teams in the WSL

Same with Tottenham even know they have only just started to do things before falling a part they have always been considered a big team.

Think there are plans afoot to develop a corresponding women's league once ESL is established

I know football fans wont agree, but to watch the best v the best all the time may not be that bad for the once in a blue moon viewer. More importantly, hasn't B Johnson not got enough to do with the pandemic etc - it is called government business Boris, than concerning himself with this?? I wonder how inclined he would be to intervene if cricket/rugby etc were 'threatened' in the same way??

To hear so many overpaid/overindulged prima donnas of a bygone era talk about greed as if they were concerned about it, and the disparities with the common man and their pittance for much harder work, would be amusing if it wasn't so pathetic!!

Greed in football??... Hmmm who knew??

FIFA'S statement about the players may not be allowed to play for their countries anymore may prove difficult.

Try and work out the England team without the big sixes players.
