Angelique Kerber rolled back the years with a dominant display against Coco Gauff.

Tremendous angles and hitting power put the German former World Number One and former champion through to her 11th grand slam quarter final. I think her greater court experience was a telling factor, especially in tricky, windy conditions.

It's great to see her back and playing at the top again. Kerber's always been one of my favourite players.

Love Federer but there is a part of me that would like to see someone win who hasn't won before.

Emm Radacanu is up next on Court No.1

Two Canadians are in the Men's singles Q/Finals

A real shame that Raducanu had to retire in the way she did, hope se will be ok

This was the first match of hers I watched & I was just thinking before it I bet that she loses now that I am watching but I never expected this

Being scheduled at the end of the day, because that's peak-viewing for BBC1 isn't really a boon for British players to have to put up with.

She did much better in this tournament than expected, and least she didn't have baboons in the crowd bellowing "TENNIS' COMING HOME!" Wink

I Felt for Emma having to pull out last night and just hope she is a lot better this morning. I do think the timing of her match didn't help matter much either as she had already waited 12 hours to get on court.
When it comes to scheduling wonder if Wimbledon would benefit better from either having an extra week in the calendar so that players get far more time to recuperate and prepare for matches or cutting first round from 128 to maybe 64 to ensure better rest/preparation time.
Maybe it would have been far better to have let her match be first on No.1 court today - even if it was under the roof.

She should be proud of what she has acheived and has done british tennis proud and hasn't let anyone down. I do hope that next year she becomes a stronger better player and can really compete sith some of the top players in the world and women's tennis has a real superstar on it's hands. The press & social media now need to back off and let Emma have some time to herself and her family and not put any more pressure on her. Just hope that her A level results are way better than expected - she deserves it.

The LTA now need to step in and give her the protection from press intrusion that she needs to aid her recovery and hope she can get in some practice for her next tournament in peace and quiet.

Emma seems level headed and determined and I think she could do great things.

Basically Mcenroe was right and she bottled it when she was losing badly

usual bollocks to the likes of lineker who defended her though didnt seem to clap back at andy murray wonder why Tongue Tongue Tongue

McEnroe wasn't right.

I thought his comments were controversial when I saw him make similar remarks on the BBC coverage last night. He only strengthened my view when I saw his tweets today.

Also, Kevin Pietersen soon backtracked when the fury came his way... claimed he was on a golf course and wasn't alluding to "anything whatsoever to do with tennis" ... dude, if you can't take the fallout after making ill-advised remarks, perhaps it's better not to make them in the first place? Idiot.

I did enjoy Lineker owning Morgan with the tweet about it "happening to the best of us, even those who aren't suffering from an injury or illness", then tweeting a photo of Morgan walking off Good Morning Britain in a huff when he was called out over his comments on Megan and Harry.

I feel that people need to recognise and be more aware of the dangers of stress. Emma Raducanu has had a wonderful tournament that should be celebrated, not criticized... I would love to see Mr Morgan cope with that stress in the same way he dealt with the heat on GMB... Wink

And as for McEnroe... well we have all seen the way he copes with heat and stress on a tennis court... "You Cannot Be Serious..." Rolleyes

I believe these "high profile" people (Morgan's words), have got very short memories... Wink
