RE: New Rules - The Silent Majority - 17-10-2021 22:20 It may be that the Mastercard rules don't apply to the channels because everything is paid for in credits. i.e. using a card to buy credits may not be the same as using it to pay directly for content or services. RE: New Rules - The tiny giant - 17-10-2021 23:26 The master card banking new rule can't be true because it doesn't show up as spending money on these channels. It's says something like prime time entertainment gaming service from the Neverland's which is how they get away with it. RE: New Rules - The Silent Majority - 17-10-2021 23:39 Yes, that's a fair point as well. That may have given them an unintentional loophole. RE: New Rules - winsaw - 20-10-2021 10:45 Anna said this last night saying there is a ban on FTA pussy shows coming in before her next show , that's a bit shit if true and kills the bs web show dead as what's the point in it if the girls can't do and show what they want, RE: New Rules - Frenchie316 - 20-10-2021 11:33 Better get yours bank cards ready lads, coz the shows are gonna suck if you don't cough up the goods. But really I'm keen to see who's gonna step up to the plate to encourage punters to spend. If a lass is just sitting there not doing anything and writing "pvt for fun times" in chat. Not going to encourage me for sure. At this rate, I think we all have an idea on who is more lively then others. Maybe a shift is coming. RE: New Rules - ShandyHand - 20-10-2021 11:41 ^ Stop spending on the channels if these 'rules' are objectionable enough to you. They will find a way to change what's happening ONLY if there is enough incentive to do so. If not they will continue to tell you what you are allowed to see and where even when you are paying a premium. Remember how the channels were perfectly content with Ofcom - they found ways to BENEFIT from offering services RESTRICTED in the variation of content on offer to the customer. The operators and like-minded babes will be quite content - if not glad - to accept more regulation that does similar in this instance. This doesn't mean the customer has to accept it however. STOP PAYING WHEN THINGS BECOME NOT TO YOUR TASTES. 99% of insiders have zero loyalty to any customer. You owe them nothing if what you get doesn't suit. RE: New Rules - seducedx6 - 20-10-2021 17:46 In post 23, I linked a thread from adultdvdtalk forum, that was started in late 2012, and said: "However, credit card companies' being instrumental in censoring adult material is not unprecedented". Back then, it was what some might view as "extreme" material, that was being targeted, and there was no broader public fanfare. But not many years later, attempts were made in Britain, to outlaw some "extreme" acts, which were mostly involving women being dominant. However, as the link I posted in 17 indicates, that law was later overturned. Nonetheless, in post 23 I also said, that what started at the turn of this year, is a "wider attack on porn, including soft 'porn'/glamour material". Hence, credit card companies have formalised a position as arbiters of the web, in a way that few governments, and state agencies have managed. Not even in Britain, which is probably the most censored 'liberal democracy'. Jerry Barnett, an anti-censorship campaigner, who had worked in the UK porn industry for a couple of decades, and was a formal representative of it, for some of that time, wrote about the differences between the UK and US. The major difference being the latter's constitutional restrictions on censorship. Meaning the response to censorship in Britain, by producers of adult material, has been less coordinated and consistent. Indeed, Barnett said some porn producers were happy with restrictions, because it protected their position in the market, which more openness would have undermined. Alongside competition between producers, that meant at the very least, they weren't necessarily bothered about others' going out of business. Hence, in Britain, as with the laws that were enacted, then overturned in recent years, any consistent opposition to the credit card rules, is likely to be dependent on the combined efforts of individual workers, and the wider public. No such sustained opposition to OFCOM exists, and this is a much taller order. Even in the US, there's been no place for complacency, as laws passed in the name of addressing a very elastically defined 'trafficking', were the first major achievement of the renewed crusade against anything remotely considered adult material.
