RE: Wimbledon 2025 - Charlemagne - 04-07-2025 20:05 ^Zero> The 13th seed Amanda Anismova plays the 30th seed Linda Noskova in the round of 16. So one of them will still be playing next week. And Anismova is American so it's a decent chance that an American will be playing next week. RE: Wimbledon 2025 - Snooks - 04-07-2025 20:36 I think the conditions may be playing a part. It's unusual for the temperatures to be so high in the first week and I think it's affecting the bounce of the ball off a really dry surface. RE: Wimbledon 2025 - lovebabes56 - 04-07-2025 20:37 I think Emma could at least reach the Quarter Finals if she can continue to concentrate on her game as she is. Reaching Semis would be a bonus RE: Wimbledon 2025 - lovebabes56 - 04-07-2025 21:42 (04-07-2025 20:36 )Snooks Wrote: I think the conditions may be playing a part. If they get hot temperatures again next week then I wondering if watering would have to be introduced RE: Wimbledon 2025 - Jamie's Knight - 04-07-2025 22:01 (04-07-2025 20:37 )lovebabes56 Wrote: I think Emma could at least reach the Quarter Finals if she can continue to concentrate on her game as she is. RE: Wimbledon 2025 - southsidestu - 04-07-2025 23:04 Unlucky for Emma but when your facing the world number 1 its always a tough ask and she gave a good game, hopefully she can carry this into the hardcourt season RE: Wimbledon 2025 - Jamie's Knight - 05-07-2025 16:57 (04-07-2025 23:04 )southsidestu Wrote: Unlucky for Emma but when your facing the world number 1 its always a tough ask and she gave a good game, hopefully she can carry this into the hardcourt season I just worry that the US Open was a bit of a freak and her Wimbledon record will be like Tim Henman. Time will tell though I suppose. RE: Wimbledon 2025 - Snooks - 05-07-2025 20:24 More seeds gone. Defending champion Barbara Krejcikiva out. Former winner Elena Rybakina out. RE: Wimbledon 2025 - Doddle - 05-07-2025 21:16 Krejcikova looked wobbly from Round 1. Maybe a new name destined for the trophy with so many former winners & top seeds gone. RE: Wimbledon 2025 - southsidestu - Yesterday 19:17 Hell of a match for Norrie, could have been 2 hrs shorter had he not missed a match point, hopefully that extra exertion doesn't hurt cost him too much in the Qtrs as his next opponent is likely Alcaraz |
